Tucked away in Capcom's Q3 FY2024 supplemental materials, it’s confirmed that Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection has sold 1.60 million units (up 200,000 units from previous report). This figure represents the combined sales of Volume 1 and Volume 2 across all platforms. However, since neither volume individually reached one million units, the collection is not included in Capcom's Platinum Titles list.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection currently holds the record as the fastest-selling game in the franchise, surpassing one million units within its first two weeks. Released in April 2023, the game is on track to become one of the series' best-selling entries. At this pace, it’s not hard to imagine it matching or surpassing Mega Man 11's 2 million units, a milestone that took seven years to reach.

I really wish we got a new game to the franchise
ReplyDeleteSo do i.
DeleteBattle Network 6 is meant to be the last Battle Network game. I know it sounds hard to believe, but back in 2006, Capcom confirmed that it is the final installment. The whole game has a sense of finality about it.
DeleteIf MMZ is any indication, it won’t be an accepted ending until the main character dies and everyone’s sad.
DeleteDoesn't stop them from potentially using Patch and Junior for the story.
DeleteAlso, the final installment thing is kind of a lie anyway as despite being a side game; Legend of the Network is practically a full scale entry, even though it takes place before 6, and it released after that did.

DeleteI'm gonna say it until I am blue in the face: People need to learn to appreciate a GOOD ENDING and when to exit stage left.
DeleteQuit asking for perpetual sequels, spinoffs, reboots etc. It ALWAYS ends badly. Just let it go. Be happy with what you got. Especially if you ended on a high note.
So long as you all keep feeding Capcom your money like a dog treat for a dog doing the wrong trick you wont see much progress. I'm not even being mean it is what it is.
ReplyDeleteI don't see what the problem is. People like battle network so they bought battle network. this collection doing well sales wise is a good thing because it tells capcom we want more. I understand what you're trying to get across, but this is a case where capcom did the right trick.
DeleteMost fans share a positive standing no matter what but if all you all get is a single drop of water after being so devoted what's the point? Just sounds like being exploited or taken advantage of. Or a bad relationship but that's just my opinion. But I honestly see no difference.
DeleteThis crap isn't Mega Man.
ReplyDeleteWhat's your definition of Mega Man?
DeleteHe made that comment out of context, he must have been referring to his fanfic or something akin to that in frustration.
DeleteUh..Protodude this guy Double Buster Mode tacitly admitted to being a troll. Is this allowed?
DeleteHe is reveling in making people "mad enough to make an account".
He straight up made a comment simply to be inflammatory and disparaging and derogatory. He is also clearly disingenuous with his response to you.
I don't get it, why is this allowed? I thought there were rules against this stuff.
He is not anonymous too.
His comment does express an opinion rather than outright trolling—some people do feel that way about MMBN. As for the remark about "mastercardalex," I initially had no idea what it referred to, but I now see it's a jab at "VissaAlex." The original comment has been removed. He's welcome to try again.

ReplyDeleteYes, my plan was to make a comment to trigger someone to create an account /s.
See the /s? That means sarcasm.
Look up what admission, trolling and disingenuous means before typing.
@VissaAlex
Battle Network isn't good enough to be fan fic, it's hate fiction.
-No Platforming
-No Buster Focused - Obsolete from the get go with the chips
-No Robot Protagonist
-No Serious Protagonist - Lan is a clown
-Doesn't follow the messages
This isn't Mega Man, it's forcefully named that way.
For all its faults, Starforce is closer to it than Battle Network will ever be with better gameplay and much better writing(plot + characters) as mad as it makes the latter's fans:
-While not fully buster focused, it has a much more useful one.
-Geo has character writing.
-It does follow one of the messages.
