Fan-Mod Adds Blade Armor X to Mega Man X DiVE Offline

Even though Capcom won't support Mega Man X DiVE Offline with new content, fans have kept the momentum going. The Derivative Works team, fresh off their additions of Model A Grey and Ashe, is back with a new mod that brings Blade Armor X from Mega Man X6 into the game as a fully playable character.

Originally released to commemorate X6's 23rd anniversary, the mod has now been updated for even greater authenticity to its original design. You can download it from Nexusmods—just be sure to follow the instructions carefully and install all the necessary plugins. Once you're all set up, you can unlock Blade Armor X by purchasing the required Memory Fragments from the Custom Tab Store.

Who they’ll tackle next is anyone’s guess, but one thing’s for sure—the X DiVE mod scene is far from slowing down!

  1. Ah, so you decided not to wait after all. Speaking of the Derivative Works team, you can subscribe to Baretto on youtube for video notifications when new character mods drop, and there's even occasional teasers for upcoming mods. I don't use Discord, but from what I've heard they also do announcements in their Discord group which Baretto has a link to on his Youtube page.

  2. You're a little late on this. But, I see it was for a good reason. Seems like they did some more updates to it since the original posting.

I guess I can see why you waited, now. Good work!

    1. It was mentioned in the replies of a previous article that he's a bit late because of how long it was until he was notified about it.

    2. Well, I tried to give him the info on the first release. Guess it didn't go through for whatever reason… It happens.

  3. The author also made a trailer for the mod too.

  4. But you made an article about the Prometheus mod the day it released or is it because that was mostly officially complete?

    1. I did not receive a tip about Blade Armor when it first released. By the time I was aware of it, it seemed like it would have been "old news". But with the mod itself being updated, I was tipped off in time.

    2. I told you on the 30th of November, though. Did the Spam Filter slap the e-mail down or something? It did have a couple of links in it — one for YouTube and one for NexusMods — so I guess that's possible. I dunno…

    3. So, can you do these type of articles before 6 months or not?

    4. Yes. X DiVE Offline is over six months old.

    5. Not that I don't believe you, the Prometheus one was 4 months after release though.

    6. Years after X DiVE proper and they didn't intend on adding anything new to it themselves, so I kinda threw the dice on that.
