Capcom has updated its Platinum Titles chart for the fiscal year, listing software that has sold one million or more units worldwide. As of September 2024, Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 has reached one million cumulative sales across PlayStation 4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2, originally released in 2018, has become the 5th Mega Man game to surpass one million units sold since 2015 and the 9th million+ selling Mega Man title overall. Though not as popular as Legacy Collection 1, this milestone was likely reached through Capcom’s steady push via discounts, deals, and bundles of evergreen software from previous fiscal years.
Overall sales for the franchise remain at 42 million units, unchanged from the previous report in September. This figure had risen by one million in the previous fiscal year, suggesting that Legacy Collection 2 was likely the driving factor.

X6 and X7 did it. People front, but they bought it to hear those sweet tunes while being able float slowly across the room with very stiff animation...
ReplyDeleteNot wrong. Our Blood Boils could play for Wily Capsule 7 and I’d feel just as invincible.
DeleteOh look, yet another million seller. DIdn't even need good games for this one to make it.
ReplyDeleteSurely this means we'll get a new game. Any day now.

This is a neat milestone. Despite the fact that it came out in 2018.
ReplyDeleteHow did XLC2 get more purchases than XLC1?
ReplyDeleteXLC1 sold a little over a million a few years ago.
