Mega Man Legends Apparel Up for Pre-Order at The Yetee

It's not every day we see new, officially licensed Mega Man Legends merchandise—especially with a deep-cut item like a Staple Electric Goods shirt! This cool pink tee, along with a few other pieces, is now available for pre-order from The Yetee, including:

Notably, the Servbot hat is ready to ship immediately, while the shirts are expected to arrive in mid-December.

Some of these goods are reasonably priced, though the DASH long-sleeve shirt might raise a few eyebrows. The Yetee also offers other non-Legends series merch, which, in my opinion, is more appealing at a friendlier price point.

  1. Gonna let myself be delusional as a little treat and believe that this is a sign we're getting a Legends collection.

Imagine if Mega Man Legends Legacy Collection included a secret teaser for MML3, like MMLC2 had for MM11!

  2. The hat’s nice, but the sweaters aren’t really doing much for me.

  3. Always like shirts like the Staple shirt. More in-universe style and subdued, not just a logo or a character’s face.

  4. Yay, more merchandise for a series we are never getting another game for.

  5. Oh boy, more overpriced merchandise for by far the most dead sub-series of a dead franchise.

It frustrates me to no end that Capcom sees enough value in Mega Man to license out the brand to literally anyone to make merchandise, but a new game that would, in turn, open new avenues for more merchandise is just too risky. We're going on seven years since the last significant game was released, either commit to a new mainline game and a regular release schedule, or admit that the series is never coming back beyond merch and cameos like the vast majority of the IPs they continue to hoard and stop using Mega Man as the face of the company.

I don't care what Protodude says, Taisen isn't happening at this point and this whole "just be patient" cope that the fandom keeps barfing up needs to stop. It's simply insane that after nearly 15 years and multiple false starts, Capcom still doesn't know what to do with their bloody mascot, so they'd rather sit around and do nothing at all than put in some real effort toward reviving this decaying corpse of a brand that they parade around as if it's still thriving. Even Konami is doing better with Silent Hill and Metal Gear than Capcom is with Mega Man, and that's frankly pathetic.
