Kotobukiya MM11 Mega Man "Premium Charge Shot" Now Available to Pre-Order (Updated)

Kotobukiya gave us a sneak peek during the All Japan Model & Hobby Show, and now they've officially revealed the price and release date for the Premium Charge Shot edition of MM11 Mega Man.

As always, this model kit is sold exclusively on Kotobukiya's online store in Japan, but eventually, stores like Big Bad Toy Store will offer it to the rest of the world. (UPDATE: Now available on BBTS)

After the break, you can check out some images and the model kit specifications!

"This color variant uses a special iridescent coating that changes color depending on the light that resembles the in-game energy charge effect! The effect parts are also an iridescent red to recreate the look of the Power Gear being used!

The intricate part separation featured in the Mega Man X plastic model kits and the proportions and articulation achieved through CAD technology allows users to assemble Mega Man as if he stepped out of the game! Furthermore, the inclusion of four interchangeable face parts full of personality, the Buster, impressive Charge Shot effect parts, and other included items allow users to reenact various iconic scenes from Mega Man!"

■ Changes from the Standard Version
・The model is coated with pearlescent plating that changes colors depending on the angle.
・The Charge Shot effect parts come in new colors.
 【Standard Color】Blue ⇒ 【Premium Color】Iridescent Red
・The package features a premium version illustration.

■ Model Specifications (Same as Standard Ver.)
・The kit includes four interchangeable face parts.
・The Buster can be equipped to the model’s left or right arm.
・The kit includes four interchangeable hands to recreate a variety of situations.
・Includes a long-awaited helmetless head part.
・The new pop out articulation feature in the chest and arms allows for a wider range of motion. The sliding motion and poses while holding the Buster are able to be displayed more naturally.
・Includes Charge Shot effect parts which allow for scenes from the game to be recreated.
・The Charge Shot effect parts can also be used as effect parts for Mega Man's slides and other actions.
・The 3mm connection joint on the model’s back is compatible with separately sold bases from Kotobukiya’s M.S.G series, such as the NEW FLYING BASE and NEW FLYING BASE Plus, allowing for action poses from the game to be displayed.
・The kit is made of multi-colored plastic and contains pre-painted parts, making it easy for users of all levels to build Mega Man as he appears in the game.

■ Included Items:
・Four Interchangeable Face Parts (Default/Looking Forward, Smiling/Looking Left, Shouting/Looking Left, and Teeth Clenched/Looking Right)
・Helmetless Head Part

  1. At that price, I'll stick with the one I already have.

    1. Same here, I'm fine with my regular color Mega Man.

  2. Yooo man this figure looks super nice! That iridescent sheen is clean! 56 bucks don't sound too bad to me tbh especially with the interchangeable parts. Nah, this is nice.

  3. This looks like a quality make.

    I like it.

  4. The X they did kind of left a bad impression on me. The shine on mine is smeared and looks splotchy now. I'll pass on these variations.

  5. I guess “Rockman Oil Spill Ver.” didn’t clear legal.

    1. Heh, I can see what you mean. I like the colors, just kind of ambivalent about the price since I already have the first Koto Mega Man kit.

    2. Oh this isn't based off of the OG. I doubt the parts are interchangeable, but it'd be kinda neat...

  6. I'll pass but hopefully those of you who pre ordered enjoy the kit. If it were plated instead of the fragile finish they use I'd probably be more open to buying it.

  7. A Mega Man game with these visuals/aesthetic’s but more you know game-like and refined, would be way too sick. RE engine do your thing, if you have to go “realistic” make it like this for Mega Man.

    1. So….Mega Man 11?

    2. I have absolutely ZERO interest in a realistic Rockman game.
      Its fine as it is.

    3. @Shrap I get that, but I don’t think RE is good at anything else. If it has to be RE, wouldn’t you rather this as a base than actually, I don’t know …. human looking uncanny realism?

@the other Anon: Mega Man 11 looks nothing like this, by game-like and refined, I didn’t mean change the proportions and total lighting/shadows/reflections. I meant make it look less plastic in parts that stand out and more like, well, CG of the material they are going for…

    4. @12:42 am, I get what you are saying but I don't think we will ever see Capcom do a high budget Mega Man game that really pushes the boundaries of the series and graphics. All they care about these days is Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter. I would play a high budget Mega Man game if it ever happened though.

    5. Rockman doesn't need to push the boundaries. It's a cartoonish world. It should stay that way. I don't care about graphics or realism. At all. Ever.

    6. Meaning I dont need Rockman to look like Avatar. I am fine with it in 8 bit. You dont need RE for that.

    7. @Shrap, Rockman doesn't need to stay 8 bit. That has been done to death by now.

    8. @2:11 Agreed, there has been enough 8 bit Mega Man games. There is nothing wrong with wanting a good looking Mega Man game that is modern 2d or 3d.

  8. Looks really nice!

  9. And in other news: BBTS got X, Premium X, Zero and Nightmare Zero back in stock. I remember some of you were wanting Zero stock.
And in typical fashion, I ordered mine from the wrong supplier who still has no stock...

    1. I managed to order mine elsewhere thankfully so it'll arrive months before BBTS.

  10. You can achieve the same effect with a blue sharpie :)
