As previously announced, the Mega Man event in Brawlhalla begins today, September 25th. The crossover introduces a Mega Man skin inspired by his design from Mega Man 11, along with various themed power-ups, cosmetics, and a couple of avatars. Rush and Beat also make prominent appearances throughout the event.
The Mega Man skin costs 400 Mammoth Coins, the currency used for unlocking skins, DLC, and more. It, along with its cosmetics, will stay in the Brawlhalla store indefinitely, so there's no risk of it being removed. If you're interested but can't afford it now, you won't have to worry about missing out. If you have zero interest in this, well, the announcement trailer is worth a watch for the animation alone.
Brawlhalla is available on all major home consoles, PC, iOS, and Android.
(annoyed sigh)
ReplyDeleteIt's fine, maybe nice, I guess. I used to play Brawlhalla on my Switch, maybe I'll play it again on my PC on Steam for a moment.
ReplyDelete*an even more annoyed sigh* Welp, at least some people who play this game might try to unlock him.
ReplyDeleteWell I always appreciate when free to play games don't have time limits on content to exploit fomo.
ReplyDeleteThat's about all I have to say on the subject.
btw 400 Mammoth Coins is around 25-30 dollars if that helps
ReplyDeleteThat is a ripoff.
DeleteOhhh, the joys of a fremium game! /s
DeleteWhy are y'all so annoyed?
ReplyDeleteBecause Mega Man is going to cost $25-30 with having to buy the digital currency to get him. It's a massive cash grab.
DeleteProbably has something to do with the currency exchange rate of the "free to play game" to get a single skin. If what I saw adds up. If 340 coins costs $13. This is one expensive skin.
DeleteAh, I see.
DeleteFrom what I read of those that play it, they are also annoyed that he is a reskin of a character called Viviana with less detailed animations.
Deleteits vivi
DeleteVivi is short for Viviana...
Delete…The emotes are pretty cute. I especially like the pleading Wily begging for a rematch. The gussied up sprites are unnecessary, but ultimately harmless.
ReplyDeleteBut that price… @~@
… hang the heck on. I recognize that pixel art style. Didn't that person make a fan game demo not too long ago? Are they working with Blue Mammoth Games for this? Or, did BMG plunder their work? (Unlikely.)
ReplyDeleteAlso. From what I can tell, Mammoth Coins are between $0.031 and $0.043 cents (in USD) each, depending on which pack you get. The most logical purchase would be $19.99 for 540 MC ($0.037 / MC). Not the best conversion rate, but if all you want is the skin, then that's your bottom line price.
Could always try "get paid to do nothing" apps, too, I suppose…
I don’t recognize them, but I also don’t doubt that origin. Citogenesis is incredibly common and easy, and accidentally-canonized fan works are pretty much part-and-parcel with any medium-low effort project like this. If a brand new Transformer figure is based on Google image customs and mis-colored model sheets, then what chance does a phone game crossover have?
DeleteAww I saw "Megaman X" in the title and got excited...
ReplyDeleteclassic is supporier i hate all you x fanboys shut up and play youre 45$ x dive ofline gosh
DeleteGrow up! Although in terms of level design classic is indeed superior, but not in terms of character arc. X Dive is an irrelevant cash grab which doesn't even focus on X, only the brainless pay for it.
Delete@5:27 AM
DeleteDo you know what an opinion is?
@Anon 5:27
DeleteCalm down, it's not like the X series killed your family.
IT DID
Deleteaslo megaman zeros arc is way better
DeleteZero doesn't have an arc. He goes from "I'll destroy any enemy in front of me" to "I'll destroy any enemy in front of me" which has been his way of doing things since Sigma punched him in the head.
Delete@11:42 you forgot the part where he does it... but with a slimmed down design. :B
DeleteI don't like how licensed fighters have three fingers and a thumb like they're some hokey cartoon characters. That's always put me off about Brawlhalla.
ReplyDeleteLong live unauthorization!
ReplyDeleteCopyright "owners" or rather criminals really equate making a copy of a game or someone downloading that copy to plundering, assaulting and all kinds of things that can't be mentioned here that pirates do. Copyright clowns are pure evil. Not to mention they love to keep stealing money by extending it which by now is like 95 years when it used to be 28(14+14 renewal and even that is too much). The terms should at the least go back to the Copyright Act of 1790 that had a term of 14 years, with the right to renew for one additional 14-year term should the copyright holder still be alive. It should be a maximum of 10 years with no chance of renewal.
