Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics Now Available

They said it couldn’t be done, but here we are. The digital version of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is out today for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC (with an Xbox release planned for 2025). The physical version is set to release on November 22nd.

This collection brings together seven of Capcom's classic Marvel arcade titles, including the original Marvel vs. Capcom and Marvel vs. Capcom 2—a particular highlight for Mega Man fans. Both games feature familiar faces like the blue bomber, Roll, Tron Bonne, and her army of Servbots.

The collection features an extensive art gallery with several Mega Man-related pieces, including never-before-seen drafts of special moves and combos. For example, the Rush Drill was originally designed as an underground digging move. There's also an early concept for Hyper Mega Man that predates the Mazinger-inspired version we’ve come to know and love.

If you grew up playing these games in the arcade, this collection offers a great shot of nostalgia. And if you’re new to the series, it’s an easy way to dive in, with online play (rollback included), modern display options, and simplified combos for beginners.

Whether you're revisiting old memories or exploring for the first time, it's worth a look.

Proto Man and Solar Blaze Mega Man Figure-Plushies Up for Pre-Order

For over a decade, Great Eastern Entertainment has held the licensing rights for Mega Man 10, continuing to produce posters, keychains, and other knick knacks long after the game’s release. Now, following a brief hiatus, the manufacturer returns with four new figure-plushies.

Standing at 4.5 inches tall, these poseable plushies feature PVC heads and soft bodies, and are set to ship in November. The lineup includes three Proto Man variants (happy, neutral, and battle-ready) and a Mega Man based on the Solar Blaze special weapon. Each is priced at $19.99, according to Big Bad Toy Store's listings.

It’s a bit of a random lineup, but that’s how Great Eastern typically operates with Mega Man. This is likely just the beginning, though. If there's a character you'd love to see next, let us know in the comments!

Development on Mega Man X8 16-Bit Fan-Game is Complete

After two and a half years of development, AlyssonDaPaz's 16-bit Mega Man X8 "demake" is finally complete and available to play.

The demake, as previously reported, recreates X8 in the style of the Super Nintendo trilogy, while incorporating modern quality-of-life improvements such as widescreen support and 60 FPS gameplay. All of the original game’s stages are included, with some staying faithful to the original while others—like the Ride Chaser stages—have been completely reimagined. The Chip shop from the original game has been removed; instead, items are now hidden throughout the stages and can be used immediately upon discovery. There's some other updates too, like the addition of the Special Weapon radial from Mega Man 11, which allows you to quickly switch weapons at any time.

It's important to note that X is the only playable character. Since AlyssonDaPaz developed the game solo, the scope was deliberately limited to avoid lengthy delays. Nevertheless, X8 fans should be satisfied with the final result! You can download it right here. Enjoy!
