Kotobukiya Black Zero Now Available to Pre-Order

The first model kit from Kotobukiya set for release in 2025 is Black Zero, now available for pre-order exclusively through Big Bad Toystore. More retailers are expected to carry the kit in the coming days as well.

"Zero, one of the most popular characters in the series, unleashes his power as Black Zero!

From the Mega Man X series, Zero—the Maverick Hunter, dependable mentor, and friend to the protagonist X—is appearing in his powered-up form, Black Zero, for the first time as a plastic model kit. 

Thanks to the technology of CAD engineering, the character’s proportions, which are based on the character’s appearance in the game, are faithfully recreated while maintaining an impressive range of articulation that allows users to recreate a variety of scenes from the games!

Zero's iconic weapon, the Z-Saber, comes with four different clear blade effect parts that can light up when used with a Milight 316 (a lithium-ion battery with an LED attached, sold separately)! 

Both clear blue and red parts have been included for the forehead, so users can recreate Fake Zero from Mega Man X2. 

An interchangeable neck and twisted waist are newly added to recreate realistic dash poses. They can also be combined with effect parts to recreate Zero's Rakuhouha pose!

The kit also comes with a short hair part for an even wider range of dynamic poses. 

Also, use the bonus twisted waist part and short hair in Zero’s color to update the Zero models in your collection! 

Other included accessories such as the Buster, hand parts, three interchangeable facial expressions, and the Z-Saber make this model kit perfect for recreating many different situations from the games." 

Model Specifications: 

• Includes three interchangeable face parts. 
• The Buster can be equipped to the model's left or right arm.

• The hands holding the Z-Saber are interchangeable with the separately sold MEGA MAN X X. 
• The Z-Saber can also be mounted to the model's back.

• The blade of the Z-Saber is recreated with clear colored material. 
• A Milight 316 (lithium-ion battery with an LED attached) can be inserted into the special Z-Saber hand part made for Milights to light up the blade of the Z-Saber. 
• To display action poses, the model’s back features a 3mm connection point that is compatible with separately sold bases from Kotobukiya’s M.S.G series, such as the NEW FLYING BASE and NEW FLYING BASE Plus. 
• The kit is made of multi-colored plastic and contains pre-painted parts, making it easy for users of all levels to build Zero as he appears in the game. 
• An interchangeable neck and twisted waist are newly added to recreate realistic dash poses. They can be combined with effect parts to recreate Zero's Rakuhouha pose. 
• The packaging includes a specially drawn illustration by Mega Man X series character designer Keisuke Mizuno.
