The American comic thing was more of a suggestion on aspects incorporated into the very clearly BLATANTLY anime style, panel composition and captions and such.

To be fair on the cache argument, the design of the head along with the pose of the character was pretty similar to what I and other Dragon Ball fans have seen in Frieza before. As he has been in the public eye for many years, It shouldn’t be surprising that when Mega Man fans saw Cache, many quickly turned to Frieza first before thinking of Jiren: I myself freely admit I’m not familiar with Jiren as I haven’t seen the latest Dragon Ball series except through random clips on YouTube.

This would be the first time I've heard anyone claim 'animu' or 'mango' were references to wannabe-Japanese stuff and not lingo derived from an imageboard. Unless the definition has changed since then, which it doesn't seem to have.
Anyway, this discussion is getting silly.
Someone did make an American-style Mega Man comic parody a while ago. I have no idea if it was a Japanese artist - I saw it on that imageboard some years ago. It was kind of neat and imo did capture the comic book look pretty well.
