Capcom and Tezuka Productions are teaming up once again for the third iteration of the Capcom vs. Tezuka Characters art exhibit. This time, the event will be held at the Tokiwaso Manga Museum and Tokiwaso Street Showa Retro Museum from July 20th to November 24th.
The exhibit will feature unique collaborative illustrations of Osamu Tezuka characters drawn by Capcom creators and Capcom characters drawn by Tezuka Productions creators. While fighting games are a major highlight this time around, new pieces inspired by Mega Man will also be included. In fact, you can see Mega Man, Rush, and a Servbot in the event's main visual. Mega Man and Astro Boy also form the "heart" of the event's logo.
If you're in Tokyo during the event, you can find more information here. Ticket reservations will start on June 20th at 2pm JST.

Isn't it great to see these characters together?! I've seen some of the artwork before in a different article, of course I enjoy the Mega Man and Astro Boy artwork best!
ReplyDeleteBoth Mega Man and Astro Boy are BESTIES X3
DeleteAgreed, and Uran is giving Roll a headache with how to energetic she is. Btw Rock in Astro's art style is adorable.
DeleteIt's like VS. but also a heart.... with Mega Man and Astro Boy inside of it for some reason.... Like what? Why not Cross or X or something? It's a mixed signal logo... Cool art though, Osamu's style is not my favorite but I don't mind it either it feels cozy and unadulterated.
ReplyDeleteMega Man is not popular ANYMORE.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me?! I know that he's not popular, but I still care about him! Mega Man or bust!
DeleteMaybe not as much as it used to be, but I don't know what that has to do with this article post.
DeleteCould be bait. Those kinds of responses become white noise after a while, imo.
DeleteMega man’s not popular? Really, then why are the fans making Mega Man fan games?
DeleteCute heart logo -w-
ReplyDeleteIt’s funny how the Servbot’s design apparently isn’t changed much in the Tezuka style.
ReplyDeleteYou mean "it's funny how the Servbot's APPEARANCE apparently isn't changed much in Tezuka's style."
DeleteTezuka's art doesn't really change the designs, just the style. So the characters are feature accurate just in the style of Tezuka studio or whatever.
This makes me want to see a Capcom x Tezuka anime or manga series.
ReplyDeleteDude, that's a boss idea!
DeleteOk, manga first, then the anime! I actually want a crossover anime between Mega Man and Astro Boy!
