Prometheus was *this* close to being playable in Mega Man X DiVE, according to the dev team. And while DLC for the Offline Version remains largely up in the air, that didn't stop the modding community from making magic happen.
That's right -- Prometheus is now a fully-fledged playable character! He comes with his own unique voice lines, skills, attacks, and key artwork. Just by watching the trailer above, you'd struggle to tell he isn't an official addition. That says a lot about how much care went into this guy, on behalf of the mod team.
To add Prometheus to your roster, simply download the mod from NexusMods. Make sure to read the install instructions carefully, and download all the necessary plugins. That said, enjoy! A big congratulations to the team for making this happen!
It's quite fun and well made. Definitely feels like a much needed inclusion being fulfilled. I'd like to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the creation of this mod.

Now that I bought X DiVE, I can't wait to unpack it and add mods. If only my job gave me time, ahahaha.

ReplyDeleteIf Capcom doesn't plan to add DLCs, it would be great if the game at least added support for Steam's Workshop, making the installation of mods simpler and faster. Although I think DLCs would be better for mobile players due to not having something similar on mobile, and depending on the tools made available for creating content for the workshop, the content could vary from being as good as this to the current content in the global online version...: S rank versions of B rank content, like Maximum Massimo (instead of Hyper Mode Massimo or Original Massimo) and card 403 Ultra Fishy, pointless upgrades like Ultimate Armor X's Plasma Charge Shot now being homing, ...
The workshop could be organized by Hunter Programs, skins, cards, event stages (such as MonHun, SF, DMC, ...), gameplay modes (Co-Op, PVP, the unused "capture the flag" mode, misc events), enemies, bosses, Ride Armors, music, main menu backgrounds, and items (mainly Deep Element skins for custom events).
I love how you make news for mods which let’s face it breaks the TOS of X Dive offline but anything that’s related to Megaman X Dive by Nebula Joy which is still on going just goes to the shitter. Smfh

ReplyDeleteThe game has been getting mods since not long after launch. There's an entire Nexus page for it.
DeleteSomeone from Taiwan says that most of the mods are made by ex-staffs who left from Taicom. Just see that Prometheus art. I do think it's an official one.
