Asahi Soft Drinks, Capcom Team-up for Rockman Energy Drink

Asahi Soft Drinks and Capcom are joining forces for a special Rockman edition of "Dodecamin BIG" energy drink.

The campaign is set to run from November 7 to January 15, 2024, and draws inspiration from the classic E-Tank, known for its strength-restoring properties, a perfect match for Dodecamin. To set itself apart from previous energy drink collaborations, Dodecamin BIG bottles will include a sticker that when scanned, will allow you to play a unique Rockman game.

More details after the break!

The special BIG version of Rockman 1 can be played up to three times per every bottle you purchase. The sticker comes in 8 types for those collectors out there.

As for the game's content, it seems to be just a boss challenge where you can play against Elec Man or Air Man. By challenging each boss, you can earn screws that later can be redeemed to win physical prizes.

The prizes include a 1,000 yen QUO Card Pay (limited to 500), an E-Tank bucket-stool (limited to 50) and an E-Tank tumbler (limited to 20).

One of the most intriguing aspects of this collaboration is the unveiling of an entirely new boss character. We can see a small preview in one of the 8 stickers that comes on a bottle. The chances of the character depicted in the right image appearing in the game are quite high if they went as far as to make a new sprite.

More details as they become available!

  1. Hopefully someone could get footage of this game within time. It would be nice to have a translated version for non-JPN players, but there's only so much to work with, I am sure. But I'll be happy with just video footage at some point. ;)
Kind of reminds me of that time when they did that whole collaboration thing with red bull.

  2. You could get over $300 worth of Quo cards. I dunno what that means but it seems weird that they're just handing out money like that.

  3. I just hope someone figures out how to back this up before it is taken offline.

  4. So...that make it...almost 1860 days since the last proper Megaman game.

    Cool.
