From the very beginning, Teppen has solely focused on Mega Man X-themed cards. However, this is all set to change next month as the Battle Network series prepares to make its long-awaited debut in the popular card game developed by GungHo and Capcom. And just in time for Teppen's 4th anniversary, no less!

The card pack "30_Minutes.EXE" will debut on July 3rd with more than 40 Mega Man Battle Network-themed cards, including a few with animation. What's more? As described in the story summary above, RiCO will also make a guest appearance in a few cards!
As far as we can see, all the cards seems to be based on characters, NetNavis, operators or viruses from the first game in the Battle Network series with even room for Lan's mom or Ms. Mari. I case you are wondering, MegaMan.EXE won't be joining the game as a playable character for now.If you want so see a preview of the car pack, you can so from the official website!
Where is the goofy redesign and halo?
ReplyDeleteOh dear.
ReplyDeleteBattle Network fans eating good this year. Can't wait for the next X or Legends season that isn't toys, cards or gacha games.
ReplyDeleteI said for years that Puzzle and Dragons is loooong overdue for a MMBN campaign
DeleteThere's really no escaping from Rico, huh.
ReplyDeleteYo Why the do MMBn extra justice and treated X characters like hot trash.
ReplyDeleteWell, a second action is taken with the results of the first one in mind, so it is a different situation. They knew from experience that X's redisign didn't exactly got unanimous praise,to avoid doing it this time.
Deletenot saying that EXE would have gotten a redesign otherwise, nor that redesigning X was a good idea in the first place.
just that we can't 100% compare the 2 situations.
Good to see Teppen still expanding and getting more MegaMan art. Even though I dropped off the game sometime around the Okami expansion, but man...had some good times with it. And some trash times going against someone with a Ryu denjin burn deck or freaking stalling Morrigan lol... the satisfaction of crushing a difficult opponent was so nice.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll go back to it sometime and see what crazy mechanics and meta they have goin on now.
Wacky concept for a crossover, though I'm absolutely living for this even if I don't play Teppen.
ReplyDeleteLove all the art they've made for this, hah~
(Also what is with the crazy abundance of negative comments here recently...? Try to keep it positive here, folks even if there aren't big new releases. :c There are better places to vent out frustration.)
I'm completely in agreement with you, but unfortunately, some people only come to this site just to doom on anything that isn't a new Mega Man game. And even then, they still doom on it.

DeleteNothing new to me, I expect this kind of dooming out of a GameFAQs forum or a twitter post, I had hoped it wouldn't be as bad here. Rockman Corner has long been a feel-good site for me personally so it's a bit of a downer to see people vent their frustration here so much.
Delete"Also what is with the crazy abundance of negative comments here recently...?"
DeleteBecause Crapcom doesn't care about MM series and only made tons of half-assed cash grabs? Why is it so hard to understand?
Will Lan and MegaMan be voiced by Brad Swaile and Andrew Francis respectively for this?
ReplyDeleteI bet Megaquint will do a play through of this.
