Out with the old and in with the new! First 4 Figures is reportedly giving Zero another go. An updated statue is in the works, and it's aiming to be "light years" ahead of the ill-fated 2019 version (previously cancelled due to poor sculpt quality.).
"Second time's a charm," writes F4F's Alex Davis on Facebook. "This version is light years ahead of the original one and really shows how much better it is with the dream team handling the creatives instead of me! Cant wait til the full reveal - second half of the year I think!"
Alex's post was accompanied by the above image. It's still in early development, but you can definitely see the improvement from the hair alone. This will be one to watch for.
Thanks for the tip, Swirls!
Im totally snapping this up when it comes out!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it'll be a "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR?!?!?" statue.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that Alex took personal responsibility for the last one, but I'm still not really a F4F fan.
ReplyDeleteI'll consider it if the sculpt really is good, and hopefully it will be in PVC instead of polystone.
I haven't really liked any of their mega man stuff
DeleteMe either, and I wish I was, because that Mega Man running statue is super cheap now compared to its original price ... and F4F still has stock ... because it's ugly.
DeleteGood lord, they weren't kidding about the 2019 one being bad.
ReplyDeleteI’m telling you guys. first Four did a crap job on the MM11 statue. I’ll never buy anything from them again.
ReplyDeleteThis has also been my experience; not with the MM11 statue specifically, but with other F4F products I have owned. I have since sold everything F4F, as they always miss details that suggest to me that the people working on the products are not fans of the characters or franchises. Their customer service is also sub-par; they delete honest reviews from their site, and they block people who make critical comments on their YouTube channel.
