Amazon Luna, the company's ever-growing cloud-gaming platform, just got "mega-fied". Mega Man 11 is now available to play on the Luna+ Channel with early access. Subscriptions start at $5.99.
The footage above isn't from the Luna version, FYI. Early impressions suggest that the game runs as well as its console/PC counterparts. Barring a decent internet connection, it sounds promising.
With 1.4 million units under its belt, Mega Man 11 is on its way to becoming one of the franchise's best selling titles. The jump to Amazon Luna only furthers Capcom's evergreen strategy, which aims to maximize Mega Man 11's audience and profitability. This approach has proven successful enough; seemingly replacing the franchise's reliance on a yearly "core" entry to retain profit.
A brand-new, "major" Mega Man title is expected to launch between Q3-Q4 2022.

I wish they release an expansion DLC for Mega Man 11.
ReplyDeleteThey are too busy putting dogs in Monster Hunter and new costumes on Chun-Li.
DeleteI feel like 11 was a good enough attempt at testing the waters, but I want the next game to go all out. I hope it's great!

ReplyDeleteI read "Mega Man Announced" and got super excited. Oh well, eventually, one day.
ReplyDelete2022 is your year, then.
DeleteHow is Luna even still a thing? Stadia is dying but Luna seems to be fine? Wut.
