Mega Man X DiVE Beta Test Available in US and UK on Android (UPDATED)

The day has finally come! Rockman X DiVE is officially available to play in the US and the UK, rechristened as Mega Man X DiVE. The beta or "early access version" showed up a few hours ago on the Google Play store. Funny enough, though, the official Facebook page for the game has been online since June 9. It totally flew under our radar!

Find all the info after the break!

At the time of this writing, it seems the game can only be downloaded via US Google Play Store and the UK Google Play Store. This early access version is not available for iOS users. Something similar happened when the game first launched in Taiwan, too. Perhaps that will change.

You can become a beta tester for the Android version here.

Surprisingly enough, the game is published by NebulaJoy, the developers and publishers behind the upcoming mobile game Rockman XZ: Time Rift. Capcom are not directly handling distribution of the English version.

Of note, the game has a number of bugs and visual errors. However, there are a number of good things to try out including Raid Boss (available at level 22), Dr. Light Lab and Hunter Badges, among other things. Characters available go up to Another Iris, too.

Enjoy!

UPDATE: Via the Official Facebook page, we learned that while the game is only available in the US and the UK, it will eventually make its way to all other countries. Furthermore, the iOS version is in development. Regarding the Steam version, it's not in their agenda but it isn't out of the question. (note that this comment is from NebulaJoy, not Capcom themselves).

Lastly, they opened a discord server where you can communicate with the developers and ask your burning questions directly.

  1. I wonder what kind of spy ware there will be on this thing...

  3. They made us wait this long, just to not translate correctly and have the same VA's? Why?

    1. I'm wonder now whether to go all in on this one or to just keep playing Taiwan. What if this version ends up being shut down earlier? Decisions...

    2. It is still in the beta phase, it will probably get worked out at a later date

    3. Maybe this is the standard for Japanese crossovers now. Some new fighters in Smash bros aren't dubbed. Heihatchi wasn't dubbed in Playstation allstars battle royale. Project X Zone wasn't dubbed. And Arale is in Dragonball fusions.

    4. There is no Dub standard.

When a game provides subtitles, they always seem to forget the one-off in game quotes (like victory shots or attack names). They only ever translate the speech boxes. Western audiences are more often than not left scratching their heads wondering what the banter is.

Yep. You hit the nail right on its head. I still wish the quotes from the zero and zx (minus advent of course) games were translated.

I do know a few quotes though (mega man wiki on fandom is very helpful sometimes) i remember Craft said "Owari da" (a classic Jiren quote that translates to "It's over") and I also remember that Weil before his fight says "I'm the devil!" In Japanese, and Phantom when dying says "Zero..." however that one is very obvious as Zero is said in Japanese the same way as in English it seems.

    6. Edit

Then again i dont really need tgat because i like the original japanese voices and they fit the characters (except Harpuia because i think he should've been voiced by a man, a man who specifically should've sounded proper or fancy or something like that)

My personal favorite being Rie Tanaka as Ciel because idk she did a really good job and sounded perfect in that role imo, i also love Prometheus and Pandora's voice actor and actress respectivally. with Promy sounding very angry and kinda phsychotic and Dora the Explora (yes you read that right) sounding softer/calm but still ready to beat the everliving crap out of you. (you dont know how many times ive heard "AAAUUGH!" or the oh so famous bwee bwee bwee because of P and P , still in the top 5 favorite MM characters though, heh PP )

    7. Element Man, Dissidia Opera Omnia's global release has been out for years now and still has Japanese voices only with the only subtitles being for the optional multiplayer voice lines that you can unlock.

  4. We've waited and were rewarded. So... Next comes Battle Network Legacy Collection, the Legends and Legends 3?

    1. It bloody well ought to be…they should he throwing in zx3 as well. I think what fans where most excited about with Megaman coming back into the spotlight was the hope to make sequels to unfinished megaman series…not more mobile games…

    2. "Unfinished megaman series"
Way to specify unfinished. Why do people insist that Battle network never get another sequel. Do they really not want Crashman exe?

      Delete
    3. Battle Network is considered "finished" because it's ending was basically a happy ever after.
Star Force is, to me, finished as well. The ending implied it was.

    4. Sharp, what about Zero and ZX?

    5. Zero is complete
Classic, X, ZX and Legends are technically incomplete.
Classic will probably never be "complete"

    6. Well, Megaman 10 was MEANT to end the Classic storyline.
What with the Roboenza being clearly a predecessor to the Maverick virus.

I can't really be mad that they made a Megaman 11, but it definitely messed up the plans 10 clearly had.

  5. Seeing that logo feels so surreal.
I will continue to play the Taiwan version, however. I don't want to start over.

  6. I am happy it's finally getting a broader release, but man, they sure took their time. To the point where I've made good progress in the it's original release against my better judgement and I hate... seriously, hate, to loose the characters and progress I've made.

  7. Are we sure it’s North America and not just the USA? All I see is being released in USA and UK…. I hope Canada doesn’t get screwed….

  8. It's about damn time, I wonder what took so long?

  9. US, not North America. Canada has its own separate Play Store and X Dive is not on it.

    1. What kind of bullcrap is that. every country should have this game available to them.

  10. I guess I'll try it, though honestly it will be more out of obligation as a Mega Man fan than out of actual excitement.

  11. Awesome. Finally. Great news.

  12. That's ridiculous. When they released it even one in English. Now they released beta version for USA and UK ? Nonsense. And I am not going to playing it at all because I played it and realized that it had no ending at all.. Just an endless online which is not for me.

  13. It would be nice they give us the chance to transfer our progress for taicom version... but with japanese RXD that never happened i'm having my expectations very low.

  14. It's finally here! Sort of...
I have so many questions though, how will they handle seasonal characters? If we get them "early" like some gacha games, will the iOS version still be too late for Summer? My favorite seasonal banners in Gacha games are always the Summer ones, so I'd hate to have to wait a whole year for a chance at getting them.

  15. Looks like I was too late to get in to the beta... RIP... Wonder when it releases.
