Making Mega Man: Code Legend Overview Trailer

Ahead of Making Mega Man: Code Legend's pre-order campaign this week, developer Artec Co. published the above overview trailer. It's a great summary for anyone just finding out about this unusual, but unique officially-licensed educational tool. When you're done, you can check out some fan-made creations here!

For the uninitiated, Making Mega Man: Code Legend pre-orders will be held exclusively on Kickstarter beginning Tuesday, April 27th at 11:00am EDT. The kits will be produced on a "made to order" basis. At this time, there's no telling how long Artec will accept pre-orders. That and other relevant info should be disclosed this coming Wednesday.

With no current plans for a wide release, Making Mega Man: Code Legend is bound to be a collector's item. If you're even the slightest bit interested, sign-up to be notified when pre-orders go live from the link above. All it takes is a few clicks to get on that list!

We'll let you know when everything goes live as well. Stay tuned!

  4. Haha "beat Air Man."

I wonder if the programming aspect of making Mega Man means you can change some of the fundamentals for fun, like how he moves and maneuvers.

  5. Dear Will, the answer to this is - yes, you would be able to change some of the fundamentals (including how Mega Man moves and maneuvers, amongst many other things).

  6. Seems like it can hurt your wrist with extended usage, but it's a really neat idea. Kids will feel like they got a super powered knuckle or something.

  7. Backed it... Sincerely I hope that there's something exclusive given to the backers, because it isn't cheap, and it will be a shame to see it later on different platforms at a lower price.

  8. Dear Giga Man, Thank you very much for backing the project!
    We sincerely appreciate your feedback.
May we please confirm, what kind of additional rewards could be of interest?
In the past couple of days we have received a number of comments saying that some additional, non-monetary, reward would be great.
We are discussing about the opportunity of adding some additional sprites limited only to Kickstarter, and perhaps a copy of the original Japanese edition of the guide, also only provided to backers on Kickstarter.
It would be great to receive your feedback, and learn about any other suggestion that you might have.
What we also wanted to assure you of the following:
    1. The special discounts offered on Kickstarer are only available there, and it is the only chance of getting the set at these lower prices.
    2. Whereas we are hoping to be able to offer the kit via other channels in the future, this is not set in stone. It could very well be that the 1,000 sets on Kickstarer would be the only ones made.
Thank you very much for your kind support!
