Rockman X DiVE is a proven hit on mobile. And if a few interesting strings are to be believe, it may find further success on PC.
Nope; this isn't an early April Fool's joke. According to a verified Rockman Corner source, the latest version of Rockman X DiVE's client makes several allusions to Steam. English prompts such as "the account has been banned by Steam VAC", "Steam product ID doesn't match", "Steam purchase failed,"and "You are not logged in on your Steam account. Please start the game on the Steam panel" appear numerous times throughout the client. These and dozens of other solitary references to Steam haven't appeared in Rockman X DiVE before.
Indeed, there are heavy implications at work here. While nothing is outright confirmed, the presence of Steam strings could suggest that the development team are in the process of porting Rockman X DiVE to PC. If so, that would open the game up to a larger audience; new players living beyond the game's key markets in Asia and Japan.
Demand for official support in North America and much of Europe has been vocal since day one. Perhaps a PC/Steam port is the answer? Pending further evidence or official word from Capcom, we can only speculate.
Would you pick up and play X DiVE on PC? Hey, I've been doing alright with BlueStacks. But I wouldn't oppose this in the slightest. I'm all in for accessibility and native controller support!
i swear, if this is happening right after i got a vpn to play it on my pc via bluestacks-
ReplyDeleteWhy would you need a VPN when you can use QooApp?

DeleteI WANT TO MEGAMAN X DIVE COMING AT PERÚ
DeleteThe more reach, the better, I say. That's a step closer to console, as well. Whatever they do, as long as they keep improving the game and stuff, let's do it.
ReplyDeleteagreed.
DeleteDefinitely. I'm a big PC gamer and while what I played of the beta was fun, the touch controls were a massive turnoff for me. I tried getting a bluetooth controller working on my phone... and it only managed to work well a whopping one time. But that one time was glorious! I even managed to turn off the lock-on and... well, it felt like a proper MMX game. Unfortunately, every time after that, there was a massive input lag on the controller, so I had to drop out.
ReplyDeleteI want this so much, I'd be willing to plonk down actual money for it.
Im level 129 now and i would like to switch to a Steam PC version instead of Bluestacks! (Bluestacks can bug easily if you have some other programs running on your pc :/
ReplyDeleteHope i don't have to make a new acc or if i linked to steam while being linked to fb, if i lost one bc of ban i'll lose all the information. Or this could be considered as the glibal version, since we hace japan and taiwan version.
ReplyDeleteI play it on mobile, because it's stronger than my Windows tablet but can run BlueStacks but not this game lol, but am in the process of building a PC so this is great news. Question is, is this confirmation that it's coming to the West?
ReplyDeleteWell, Another Eden has supposedly released a PC version today as well. I see this is a trend right now.
ReplyDeleteBut honestly, DiVE on PC will still not look better than on mobile. Ii can't imagine it looking or\and working better, seriously.
I hope they allow progress transfer. Do I have to start from scratch if I want to play on PC? I'm Lvl 131. And I got so many rare things I wanted. I don't want to start over.
ReplyDeleteI...GUESS this is slightly better than nothing? A game built for mobile that is then moved to a non-mobile platform is still a mobile game by my standards.
ReplyDeleteThis is great news! I moved from emulator to phone because my potato couldn't emulate X Dive well, but now I find myself missing my keyboard controls. If I can run it directly without an emulator, maybe I'll be able to play it on PC.
ReplyDeleteEh. I took steps to play it when it first came out in English and it was OK but im not really interested in mobile games even if it comes to Steam I doubt I'll get into it again my experience wasn't over the top like most say somehow it just felt like smaller MegaMan X levels with purchase/patience curves so it didn't really impress me especially because it was so easy. PvP isn't much either or at least not when I played. You could start the match and an Asian bro would instant kill you without being on the screen only to literally Blink into existence after the fact for a split second and repeat till you lose lol. I personally will only be happy when MegaMan X gets a real game I know Starforce and EXE are going to have 2 different games for simple marketing like Legacy and a Legends collection wont even matter to me if it even happens because I want 3 more than a game I've beat 100 times over so I'm thinking MegaMan fans are in for a very long wait before anything actually New hits shelves or Capcoms imagination in general. MegaMan is my favorite video game series by my expectations have been driven in the ground and I don't really expect anything anymore and I've moved on to other series that I honestly probably enjoy more than MegaMan now because I'll always prefer the fresh fruit over the fruit I stuffed into a tree trunk decades ago 😅 only reason I'd pull that fermented fruit out is to relive what I use to like and enjoy like an old addiction.. wouldn't be hard to manipulate others like that for profit over actual work. 🤔
ReplyDeleteAgreed, and I play strictly on PC these days and bought the collections but was playing MM + MMX way back in the early 90s. Seems many people's standards for gaming these days are pretty low seeing people content playing on a tiny ass screen with a touch screen vs a big screen and gamepad for games like MM. A touch screen would ruin it for me (these games aren't candy crush and even that I played on my PC years ago on FB), just as I never cared for things like wiimotes or DS stylus and just emulated games like Metroid Prime 3 on my PC mapping the movements to an analog stick. Also Capcom needs to stop being cheap and release main timeline games like X9, MM12, ZX3, and legends 3. How boring lately, Despite the success of the collections and MM11, 3 years later, almost and not even an announcement of anything new. Makes me wonder if Protodude was wrong about them having a major MM title in the works starting in 2019. I sure hope covid is the reason for the delay and lack of announcement and that it wouldn't be as it is now with lack of announcement even if covid never existed.
Deleteif they started development on a major title in 2019, unless they heavily rushed the game, even without covid delays we likely wouldn't hear word about it for another year or two. big title games don't get released year after year anymore unless they get rushed or their engine gets reused - which would only actually make sense for a MM11 sequel... but they seem to be wanting to branch out a bit more, considering X DiVE and the possible Battle Network game, and maybe even an X9 considering everything and those designs that keep popping up that are suspiciously "only for figures"...
DeleteGame engines can transcend generas you know. Just look at Source and Source 2, Unreal, Havok (from which Steam used and modified the VPhysics engine no less) and Unity for example
DeleteDeadpool: I SWEAR, IF YOU CUT TO COMMERCIALS, I'LL STRANGLE YOU BOTH WITH AN ACTUAL BLUE APR-!!
ReplyDeleteNow this makes me smile. They would need to make some pacing changes, and controller/keyboard support would need to be defaulted instead of touch, but I can imagine it would be a better game overall on PC.
ReplyDeleteDo mobile games that didn't have controller/keyboard support NORMALLY get that with a Steam release? Because in my experience that's not been the case.
DeleteRockman and Rockman X 2D games should always be on console first. What a shame. The boycott continues for me.
ReplyDeleteX DiVE requires some significant changes to regain my interest.
ReplyDeleteIn the event that happens, a PC version would be preferred over mobile.
Console ports will probably never happen, anyway.
I would absolutely play it on Steam. If it's a direct port or the app, the system requirements should be low even for even "potato" computers to run, which would make it widely accessible, too!
ReplyDeleteYou what would be even better? Finding it on SteamDB.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is true. I know gacha is garbage but I still wanna play.
ReplyDeleteOh YES. It's about time. Bluestacks always gives me a headache and I don't want to rely on my mobile to play it.
ReplyDeleteI'm baffled. Why would it come to PC before US IOS? Like, I'll play it regardless how it gets in my hands, but it's wild they would skip the important step of international release.

DeleteThis still smells like an april's fool joke, but let's see. If this is true, i just hope that we can transfer our save data from the movile game
ReplyDeleteTake off the gatcha and count on me to join steam to play it. Gatcha mechanics are not for Megaman games.
ReplyDeleteI wonder though, because steam is pretty strict with anime games, and roll is in this, and is kinda questionable. That and cinnamon would certainly be seen as underage by steam as well. I think if we get a steam version, it might end up heavily censored. I would hate for them to take out white day cinnamon, she's the best!
ReplyDeletelol Steam has games WAY worse than this that we can't discuss here.
DeleteCapcom will be fine.
I would disagree on "worse", if any anime games had a hint of lewding little girls, it was pulled. western style games get a free pass though.
Deleteit's not an issue of lewd in general, steam has plenty of lewd games, but showing the underwear of a small canonically 12 year old designed girl?
Yeah, re-thinking it after the fact, since you can't see or edit these things instantly, you're right. The game won't be banned. But nothing surprises me anymore, so who knows.
Delete"steam is pretty strict with anime games"
DeleteUmm Steam has been releasing what Japanese people call "erogames" (softcore+games) for a while now.... Honestly kind of surprised Fate/Stay Night still isn't there but even if Irisviel is a factor here (I've heard the game is worse with the "eroge" than the anime adaptations and the UBW anime had full back nudity with her, I seriously hope the HF movies don't do worse with her because I've heard those ones get pretty explicit too), I blame Ufotable.
Ive been waiting for something like this to happen! I really hope its not a blasted joke!
ReplyDeleteIf it is not an April Fool's day then its great but would I pick up and play X DiVE on PC? Absolutely not. It is not like Rockman/Megaman original games because it is only for online and it has no ending story. It is continusly game for their profits until they decide to closed it in the future. I prefer an ending story. No thanks.
ReplyDeleteIf you're playing Megaman games for the "story", you're doing it wrong.
DeleteNot only is it not canon or a real story, but even the gameplay and effects look subpar. I don't know what it is about mobile phone games and crappy explosion effects (like how the PSP also lacks good effects in general; Maverick hunter X's boss explosion just being one expanding ball looked like crap vs the nice multi explosions of bosses exploding in the original X game and all the other X games, but even X7 had good explosions). Dive lacks a real story, nice legit controls, and even has gameplay that isn't MM (nothing like the stages and platforming of MM and looks more like multiplayer and just winning points in a time frame much of the time.
DeleteNot like I would lower my standards enough to play a MM game on a tiny screen with a touch screen straining my eyes (that alone makes it not MM if it is not a gamepad). Looks like just rehashing of characters tha tare old news from 2+ decades ago and no the traditional life meters where things like Final Sigma W don't actually die. Looks more like mini games. I agree I also would not get it. Wake me up when X9, ZX3, MM12, or Legends 3 actually comes out (Megaman actually truly being revived that is actually Megaman). You know, actually new content not cheaply made and for the big screen and gamepad recommended and legit sequels like they actually used to do back in the day before they got all cheap and tiny screened, and I'm old enough to remember many releases in the 90s and 2000s and most were actually for the big screen since I predate the first MM by about 5 years but only really started playing it in the very early 90s, though recall a person renting the first one, I did not know it was MM at the time, and remembered how hard ice man's level was when I was around 5 playing it. Way too many tiny screens these days and sadly many seem content with such a low standard method of playing games vs a nice computer monitor or bigger high def screen. OF course just being on Steam and me playing wit ha gamepad does not make this game good for me.
Anyways, all we get these days is collections and rehashing old stuff and releasing toys, and I only care about the canon games of the main timeline. With the success of the collections and MM11, you got to wonder what the hell they are doing not releasing sequels after 3 years, nevermind not even an announcement of something new. Pretty cheap these days. Time for capcom to get their shit together like the glory days of the 90s and somewhat in the 2000s. It is getting boring. I guess they either ran out of ideas or are too scared to take a risk with an actual sequel.
@Gary I am about the same and mostly agree, with the exception of I actually like the collections and want an EXE collection for two reasons: Hopefully an improved big screen experience with all the content we missed the first time around and my carts batteries are no good any more I think.
DeleteI've been wanting to replay them, but been waiting for a collection to maximize my time.
The collections were good. I got the classic, X, and Zero/ZX ones over the course of a couple years.
Delete@Gary
DeleteI played RMX Dive, and I played it on a TV with a controller, through my phone. phones are just mini computers. while you can play with touch controls, it is compatible with controllers, and you can connect your phone to a TV with an HDMI cable to play on TV.
That being said, the game is pretty buggy, but it's also a pretty well crafted mega man X game. I'd say it's better mechanics wise than Maverick Hunter X. But the main focus of the game is PVP and gacha. You can set options to make it play more like a traditional X game, but you still need the latest greatest OP weapons, and to get swag, you need to play PVP, and playing PVP with standard X game controls is suicide.
And most bosses can be destroyed. there are just some event bosses or something. I stopped playing right around when they rolled those out, but the story mode is pretty decent, although it doesn't have armor collecting that is typical of an X game, nor boss weapons.
I'm happy it exists, and would love for it's assets to be used to remake the X1-8.
I'm so excited that Mega Man X DiVE for PC is real.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Mega Man X DiVE for PC is Free to Play or Pay to Play?
it would probably be free to play, just like it is on mobile. there are free to play games on steam already, including ex-mobile games
Deletei am a rockman X die hard fans. but i really not very interest in Dive, it really kind like china style SPEND TO STRONG concept game. the only thing i wish is capcom can make the rockman X9 appear, may the legendary action game since 1987 can be reborn.
ReplyDeleteI would love an X9.
DeleteI would also settle for Capcom using these assets in X DiVE, which to me look pretty good for what they are, and re-master X1-X7. I've said it before and will again.
X4 specifically. So many assets have been made already. They could make a 3D remaster with all the characters, fix the dub, make 2 part stages single part stages, use the existing soundtrack or a remastered, whatever, and maybe make Final Weapon a little less disappointing. Hell, add the dropped Zero Ultimate Armor. Oh, just thinking about it makes me excited and mad at the same time.
IM SO FRIGGIN EXCITED!
