Following the Tower of Saviors collaboration, another Rockman X DiVE crossover is coming down the pike.
So-Entertainment Taiwan's flagship mobile title Shironeko Project (White Cat Project) will cross paths with Rockman X DiVE next week. The news came during Shironeko's 6th anniversary celebration. You can find all the details after the break!
X, Zero and Iris plus a selection of weapons will be available in the Taiwanese version of Shironeko Project next week on February 9th. On February 8th, though, players will be able to sink their teeth into the collaboration event early with the prologue.
Among the many things available to players when the event begins are challenges, runes, accessories, buildings, titles, stickers and most notably a co-op battle against Final Sigma W from Rockman X5. It's almost like it was taken from Rockman X DiVE's Raid Boss mode, right?
When it comes to the characters skills and affinities, they are as follows:
X (Archer, light): Rescue start!
- Skill: X Strike and Tracking Missile.
- Unique weapon: X buster.
Zero (Swordsman): You are too soft hearted as always, X.
- Skill: Ryuuenjin, Hyouretsuzan and Rakuhouha.
- Unique weapon: Z saber.
Note: Zero as a unit is elementless but he can gain an element (fire, water, thunder and light) by simply attacking. When equipping the Black Zero costume his element is darkness by default.
Iris (Mage, Darkness): I'm a bit worried...
- Skill: Peaceful Wish & Core Crystal.
- Unique weapon: Core Crystal Scepter.
Note: When she is damaged, she releases mines.
In the trailer below, you can see X, Zero and Iris skills in action, among other things including kick-ass artwork of X and Zero.
Funny enough, this is not the first mobile game to uses the iconic "What am I fighting for?!" scene from Rockman X4. The scene was referenced in the cinematic trailer for Teppen's Haunted By Memories card pack, too!
Black Zero and Swimsuit Iris are expected to show up in the game as alternative costumes, too. And much like Tower of Saviors, more surprises could be around the corner. Keep your eyes peeled!
Thanks to our friend Sonny for translating the characters skills!
woooooo oh my god
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the X Dive series to get a console spin-off game.
ReplyDeleteI play it on an emulator on PC but i must say, if they make a console/pc version without the gacha but something more classic, it could be soooo good!
DeleteClassic! Well done!
DeleteNow this is the collab we needed in Dragalia...
ReplyDeleteI agree! They could rerun the old Megaman crossover first, like they did for Fire Emblem, then run the Dive one.
DeleteThe thing I can't wait for is a continuation to the X series that I can get on steam and play with my 27inch monitor. Iris dying and these characters are old news from the X games in the 90s (many around here probably weren't even alive when I was playing these in my teens, let alone when I was playing the NES MM games in the early 90s). I remember the gap between X4 and X5 being a few years, and I was concerned if MM would continue (I did not know about Rockman and Forte at the time, and played that ported to the GBA in 2003 before I knew about emulators), and in a magazine, there was talk that Megaman might not continue and showed a pic of Megaman having an off button being pressed by Dr Light or something representing the end of MM back in 1999 or 2000.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with the X series and I like it more than classic, even buying the collections in 2019, Zero/ZX collection last year, and MM11 preordered, classic collection too (there was a collection of each back in the Gamecube/PS2 era too I used to own; the recent ones are not the first collections), but I think it is time to look to the future with new legit games vs just rehashing the past. Time for something new, and not on a cheap limited mobile device (I will never play that kind of game in that way). If it is something like candy crush, I can see that, but not a small screen and touch screen for games like MM. That just isn't MM. A gamepad fits MM, and I can use an XBOX 360 controller (you can buy them online and I prefer a wired USB one) for my custom built high end PC that makes any mobile device look like a pathetic joke.
Great selection of character. Maybe Axl and Vile are add later.
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Very interesting! I can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteMan, what I wouldn't give for a Mega Man collab with Brave Exvius or even Sdorica or Romancing SaGa. I'm a little jealous Dragalia Lost and Tower of Saviors, two titles I never played, both got to have them.
