The Story of Mega Man on DOS - The Gaming Historian

Love 'em or hate 'em, the DOS Mega Man games are very much an important, if not, obscure part of the franchise's storied history. And if you've been hankering to learn more about the Mega Man and Mega Man 3 on DOS, a brand-new video by The Gaming Historian has you covered.

"The Story of Mega Man on DOS" is a complete, 22-minute history lesson on DOS Mega Man and Mega Man 3. The video even includes a guest appearance the games' sole developer, Stephen Rozner. Speaking with the Gaming Historian through Zoom, Rozner drops a wealth of behind-the-scenes knowledge that - at least for me - greatly enhance my appreciation for the DOS games.

Sit back, grab some Halloween candy and give it a watch!

  1. I love Gaming Historian's videos so this was a pleasant surprise! I've only seen bits of gameplay and was always curious about the history behind these weird DOS games.

  2. Glad he covered these. The real problem with the game is that most of the enemies are too short to shoot. Gotta wonder what the thinking behind that was.

  3. Wow, this does change my perception of the games. I always thought they were just rushed products. They were pretty bad, but for one guy to do the first one, it's pretty impressive. The MM3 game though? Well....

  5. I owned the first one back in the 90's, and it was insanely difficult. Very cool to learn all the behind-the-scenes info on it though, and props to that guy for getting it done.

  7. On the off chance that you can redo your character, at that point obviously you won't disapprove of portrayal. There is an issue in certain games where they don't speak to solid and shrewd females, minority females and guys, large, little, tall, and short females and guys. sa gaming
