It's finally here folks! It's taken us a long time to bring this to you, but you can now finally enjoy the extensive story of Pachislot Rockman Ability with English subtitles! Come check out the first five episodes after the break below!
Pachislot Rockman Ability celebrated its 2nd anniversary on September 18th, 2020. This is coincidentally the same date that X was sealed away by Dr. Light. But I digress! Point is, it's been a long time since we first reported on the game's existence back in July 2018. We've come a long way...
Like most of you reading this, I am not a fan of pachislot or pachinko. But this game is pretty special in that it's a brand NEW Rockman incarnation set in a wholly unique timeline! That alone encouraged me to learn more about it -- the game's setting, characters... everything.
Driven by concern that this game may become something of a forgotten gem in the years to come, I set out to find as much information as possible and document it. And boy, a lot changed in the 2 years since it's launch! We originally went from off-screen phone footage and blurry screenshots to getting HD footage, story cutscenes and more thanks to Genzi! (without whom none of this would have been possible!)
From there, we then decided to translate the game's story mode. I really want to thank Liumin for taking the time out of her busy schedule -- translating actual, non-pachislot games -- to do this for us in her spare time! We also needed someone to implement the translation into subtitles, too. Luckily, our friend ShadowRockZX went above and beyond. He added the subtitles and neatly edited the footage together, too. So thank you so much for your help! And finally, I want to thank you, the readers, for being patient with us on this one. Same goes for the artists online that have done fan art of the Pachislot Rockman Ability characters too!
Thanks to BusterVII for this Pachislot Rockman Ability 2nd Anniversary piece!
If you're just learning about Pachislot Rockman Ability for the first time, you can find more information from some of our past articles. We did a deep dive into the gameplay, different modes, main characters and a little bit of story coverage HERE. We then uncovered more details on the Robot Masters, weapons and weaknesses HERE, and we've even put some details of the in-game soundtrack as well as uploaded the new vocal tracks from the game HERE.
Phew! Okay, enough talk. Let's get into this!
Intro + Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Chapter 5
As you may have deduced, this is Part 1 of the translation. We'll be posting the next five chapters as well as the conclusion of the story within the next week! So be sure not to miss it!
Looks pretty interesting. Thank you for showing the subtitles.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the translation. It's nice to be able to get the content even if we're not gonna play it (since it's pachinko and all).
ReplyDeletelol that Last Wily scene. Thanks for the translation, really interesting.
ReplyDeleteIncreible
ReplyDeleteI'm hooked
ReplyDeleteGreat work! I've been waiting to see this for a while.
ReplyDelete*Slight Spoilers*
So, instead of Blues being the model design for Rockman in the classic series, it's backwards here. Meanwhile, Wily's creation(Roll) is actually fully aware of the fact that he's her creator, unlike Zero with the X series. They're subtle changes to old stories in the Rockman franchise, but I like it! It's somehow fresh.
I only wish we got a cartoon series based on this instead of Fully Charged, even though that show didn't turn out as bad as we feared. I like this universe a lot more. And the Sniper Joes are way cooler here... even though they got easily taken out.
What happened to this game being ported to mobile devices? Any news about it?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, we've heard nothing more since the initial rumblings about it. Which is surprising to be honest! Most, if not all of Capcom's pachislot endeavours have been ported to mobile.
DeleteLiumin, Shadowrock, Vhyper1985, Genzi...Thank you !
ReplyDeletei would love to have a rom of this game and a proper emulator
ReplyDeleteIm starting to think about translating it into Brasilian Portuguese.
