A new card pack and hero has arrived to Teppen this month: "The Force Seekers" featuring Akuma. What's more, the update also brings a new gameplay mechanic to the game called "Ascended." Ascended allows you to play a new unit over an active unit in the mat. By sacrificing the old unit, you can even give buffs to the new unit – it's a game changer!
As for the card pack itself, it includes a total of 100 new cards of which 16 are Mega Man X-related. Also, one new Mega Man X basic card has been added to the game, which can be obtained after completing Akuma's story mode. As per tradition, we are providing all the information and clean artwork of these new cards. See and read all about it after the break!
Thanks to MegaQuint for providing the clean artwork this time!

I always liked High Max's design.
ReplyDeleteit's very reminiscent of Bass
DeleteI really wish some would rip all the artwork and not just Mega Man or Street Fighter for me to get without the text and such in on easy place.
ReplyDeletea lot of X6 love here
ReplyDeleteNice references to X6 lore.
ReplyDeleteI have now seen a artwork of Magma Dragoon facing Akuma. that's something i've wanted to see for a long time.
ReplyDeleteMagma Dragoon should be a skin for Akuma in SFV
Delete@Matthew Ingraham I agree so much with that.
DeleteThe artwork is excellent and it's nice to see more artwork of the stage bosses. I'm just not sure why the flavor text for Pegasus and Wolf uses "it" instead of "he".
ReplyDeleteIs like that in the game, is not a typo on my side.
DeleteI didn't say it was your doing. I figured it was how they wrote it.
DeleteJust clarifying is like that in the game, that's all.
DeleteI thought that the last one was very interesting. The one with Alia looking at Blizzard's data file. Did they mention any kind of connection between them in X6? I don't remember.
ReplyDeleteIIRC scientists who feared Gate's creations tricked Alia into throwing Wolfang into the sea, before making it pass for a accident.
DeleteShe has a history with all eight X6 Mavericks, but it's a nice touch that she's looking at Wolfang's portrait -- that's the one shown in the game each time she talks about a Maverick post-battle.
DeleteI love how aspects of the X mangas have slowly entered game lore canon, particularly where Storm Eagle is concerned.
ReplyDeleteThis game is not canon to the X games at all.
