Rockman X DiVE - Alia and Pallette Models Updated
Leading up to the eventual launch of Rockman X DiVE on iOS and Android devices, the development team at Capcom Korea have provided fans with a little peek at some cosmetic changes being made to Alia and Pallette. As you can see above, the extra polish has allowed the Navigators to appear more "on model". Pallette in particular looks more like herself.
Now, as for when we can play the final version of Rockman X DiVE, well, we really don't have an answer anymore. Originally, Capcom Korea intended on launching the game before the end of 2019 and holding a public beta test as well... all before January 1st, 2020. That was the goal. However, the development team haven't said much, if anything about dates since October. Pending official word from Capcom Korea, we can only assume Rockman X DiVE has been delayed into 2020.
With Mega Man's 32 anniversary and Mega Man X's 26th anniversary happening in just a couple short days (December 17th), perhaps that will be an opportune time to announce the new release date... or shadow drop the game itself. We shall see!

Alia's eyes shape need only a slight adjustment and they'll be perfect, but I do prefer Palette's previous model...
ReplyDeleteNice attention to detail. They indeed do looks better.
ReplyDeleteI never noticed before. But Alia does look much better.
DeleteRevert Palette I think she looks much worse now.
ReplyDeleteHaha I screwed up and didn't notice the After Before captions never-mind then.
DeleteThey both look so much better, with Pallette looking far cuter now. I'm glad they went back over them.
ReplyDeleteThis stuff is kinda whatever, what are the graphics team doing, focusing on cuteness levels or something?
ReplyDeleteIf I were part of the graphics team I'd just build more MMX character models with the hopes that the rest of the team will adopt them into the game, since the characters are barely varied in gameplay anyway. But by all means widen Alia's iris, alter the eyelash lines and lower her jaw, make Pallette's head more thin and eyelash lines sharper with harder edges, fine. I guess this could also fall on directors and producers too anyway.
They're making the character model as accurates as possible, which is part of their jobs. that does'nt mean they won't be making more characters or aren't making already. And it's already stated that they will add more characters in the future.
DeleteAt first i thought that Palette's new version was the one on the right and thought "What?! theymade her looks MORE off-model", then i noticed the "before" "after" captions
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing this out. The new one (left) is indeed better
