It was only a matter of time before Capcom Japan revealed the Japanese-exclusive limited edition Rockman Zero/ZX Legacy Collection sets. Well, they're real and they're fantastic...
- Rockman Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Limited Editon (Nintendo Switch ver.)
- Rockman Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Limited Editon (PlayStation ver.)
The Limited Edition set includes a physical copy of the game, a 5-inch "3D Zero" bust, an A5-sized acrylic "villains" print drawn by series artist Toru Nakayama and – exclusively through E-Capcom – one of two Z-Saber acrylic keychains: "Normal Color" and "Omega Color".
It should be noted that E-Capcom do not ship outside of Japan. However, retailers such as Nin Nin Game and Play Asia tend to stock these sort of specialty items. Keep an eye out – these pre-orders will sell out fast!
To commemorate the release of Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, E-Capcom are also selling A4-size acrylic prints of old, but still great Zero and ZX art.
And finally, Capcom revealed a "Rockman and Rockman X 5-in-1" box set for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It includes Rockman Legacy Collection 1, Rockman Legacy Collection 2, Rockman X Legacy Collection 1, Rockman X Legacy Collection 2, and Rockman 11. The box is designed to fit Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, too. The set also includes an acrylic art stand, the Rockman 11 script, and brand-new package art by Ryuji Higurashi and Keiske Mizuno that has yet to be revealed.
The 5-in-1 set will be available to purchase from E-Capcom and Amazon Japan. Keep an eye out to the above import stores for international availability!
More news soon!
these are gonna cost sooooo much money arent they
ReplyDeleteMoney spent on Mega Man stuff is money well spent.
DeleteIt is the first time than rockman legacy 1 and 2 receive a physical for switch?
ReplyDeletefor 2, yeah but not 1.
DeleteBoth the X and classic collections received physical bundles in Japan in the past.
DeleteDunno if the second half of both collections were download codes like in the US release.
I Import all my Switch games from Japan, the market in Japan is quiet different from the UK(and the States) pretty much every game is physical, they very much demand actual carts or CDs, It really is totally different from the west. Im a HUGE Mega-Man/Rock-Man nut, the RockMan-X-Lecacy-Collection both 1 and 2 were physical in Japan(I have both and its so good to have them physically) Rock-Man Legacy-Collection was one of the exceptions 2 was like it is in the UK, part2 was a code however in this boxset 2 comes on a cart which will make it one of the rarest Switch games out there. Its a bit like the Bayonetta "Climax edition" in Japan both 1 and 2 came on individual boxed carts unlike in the UK and US where 2 was a boxed cart and the first game was a code, making the physical Bayonetta cart the lowest print run Switch game commercially available. Im a 35+year die hard gamer and for me its physical every time. Not trying to plug my Instagram but as I said Im a pretty big importer and I post all the games and special editions there all the time. Im always hunting out physical games where=ever possible! :) @mattyjjenkins
DeleteThat Zero 3/ZX crossover art is so good!
ReplyDeleteWelp. I'm gonna have to get all of these...
ReplyDeleteWill THIS set finally include physical copies of Rockman/Megaman 9 & 10?
ReplyDeleteJust went up on Nin Nin Games

Mission Failed
I just ordered the PS4 set for Zero Collection through eCapcom thanks to your link. Let me know when the boxed set comes out and I'll do the same. (For those wondering if they see this and wonder how, I have a Japanese forwarding address.)
ReplyDeleteBox set just went up on Nin Nin games.

Game Cart versions for each game, not a 'Get Cart the download the 2nd half". That ALONE makes me want.
ReplyDeleteWow, all this stuff is soooo cool!! :D
ReplyDeleteWhy do you keep doing this to me Capcom? I can only afford so much stuff. I thought we had a mutual understanding.
ReplyDeleteGuys! there's TWO extra spots in the Switch collection! MegaMan Battle network Legacy Collection (with newly translated Operate Shooting Star)?
ReplyDeleteOne empty spot is for Zero/ZX. The other I assume is for the MM11 script.
DeleteYes - but you can likely add another collection in its place. I'm sure they will release a DASH-collection next summer.
DeleteMeanwhile the rest of the world doesn't get anything like this set... I know I can easily import this when it's out but still, Capcom always pulls this.
ReplyDeleteIts just me or the box for switch fit ANOTHER game besides Z/ZX?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this is a stupid question at this point since pretty much the prior collections all had it but will the Zero/ZX Collection have both the English and japanese versions of the game?
ReplyDeleteIf anyone is interested in the three acrylic pieces you can use Rinkya a JP proxy service to get them for you through e-Capcom. For reference I live in the US and picked up all three. It cost me: Item Price 13608 Yen($132.12) Commission $22.00 Domestic Fees $4.85 Paid $158.97. As opposed to $200 a piece aftermarket from Yahoo Japan on the older acrylic pieces from last year. Happy hunting!
ReplyDeleteHow do they do when they import an edition of a game from another continent and have exclusive dlc or something like that in the case of this jap codes are compatible with the Americans? Or are accounts created for each region for that and how would they use the online content of that version?
