Rockman X Dive Will Have Exclusive Content and Optimization on ROG Phone II
Earlier today ASUS officially announced the ROG Phone II, a high-end gaming-centric smartphone that will apparently run Rockman X Dive on steroids. The phone will reportedly render the game at a full 120Hz and will take full advantage of the "ROG Kunai Gamepad" (the two detachable, Nintendo Switch-like controllers seen during the teaser trailer).
Additionally, ASUS also confirmed that Rockman X Dive will have exclusive content for ROG Phone II users. Players will have access to an exclusive weapon and a special wallpaper/background. Although no images of said exclusive wallpaper exist at this time, four new screenshots of the game were shown to the press. These images feature four playable characters: X, Zero, Alia and Marino. Note that Marino is fighting Moah the Giant (X3) on Central Highway (X1) and Alia is fighting CF-0 (X2) at Flame Mammoth's stage (X1). Note that Alia is equipped with the Z-Buster, meaning weapons are indeed interchangeable between different characters.
The ROG Phone II will go on sale later this September. Rockman X Dive's release date has not been disclosed. More details are coming soon. Stay tuned!

I have had good experiences with Asus products. I might look into picking one up.
ReplyDeleteI've learned 3 new things today.
ReplyDelete1- The game seems to have actual levels and level design to it.
2- Multiple playable characters
3- Different equippable weapons
4- at minimum, X1-x3 representation.
The excitement is matched only by the confusion of the mobile market, but it's not like mobile games have never made it to console before, especially when well executed.
i can imagine that being available on the virtual console someday.
DeleteI just need a X4 & 5 representation and my interest will be at it's peak (it's peak regarding mobile games, that is).
DeleteRegarding X4 representation, here's what Protodude said in the previous topic: "For example, you can play as Cinnamon (from Command Mission) in a stage from X4."
DeleteMaybe mobile gaming is more popular in Asia. Probably explains why it was released by Capcom Taiwan.
DeleteNo maybe, it absolutely is.
DeleteIt'd be neat to see the ability to mix and match weapons...
ReplyDeleteAll the new art that is coming with this game is really making me happy.
ReplyDeleteExclusive content trapped behind a machine that costs $1000.00 USD? That's quite a low blow.
ReplyDelete"What's wrong, don't you guys have high-end gaming-centric smartphones?" Exclusive content in any shape or form was, is, and always will be garbage, but this might take the trophy for worst I've seen. Especially when it's wallpaper and a single weapon. WOW
DeleteAlso 120hz LOL yeah, Capcom, support that for a phone game.
@AxlRocks. It's just a wallpaper and one (or potentially more) weapon, that's the point. Yeah, exclusive content sucks, but it's not like they're locking actual part of the game to that platform, it literally is harmless bonus content.
DeleteThey are locking a weapon behind a platform. Last I checked that is literally locking an actual part of the game.
DeleteI know it's wallpaper and a single weapon, which is what I was joking about. Even though I'm against any exclusive content for (almost) any reason whatsoever, and I MUST complain about it at every opportunity, it's hilarious that's ALL you get for playing this on an extremely overpriced phone.
DeleteWho knows how much Capcom execs made on this deal in exchange, but a wallpaper and one weapon is all Capcom bothered giving those players - probably content that was already made/planned for regular gameplay or unlockables so all they had to do was add a few lines of code to lock them to that phone.
And in most instances, console or DLC exclusive items like this are almost always bottom tier, pointless weapons always surpassed by better gear.
Delete@Vile, allow me to reformulate. (sorry, english is not my natvie language)
DeleteIt is not a Indispensable part of the game. As far as we know at least, you would still get to play it and finish it without that one single weapon. it's mostly inconsequential. the worst that could happen is that this weapon is needed to display a 100% completion (assuming that there is such thing as a completion percentage, which would be new for a MMX game). Now if they tell me that this weapon is absolutely necessary to beat the final boss, THEN we have a problem.
heck, it anything, like AxlRocks said, it's kinda silly that you only get that for buying a very expensive device like this ROG phone.
what i mean is, it's not like when games have the story-mode final chapter availiable only as a overpriced DLC, leaving those who don't buy it with a incomplete game.
Yes, I, like many other normal gamers have bought a gaming smartphone for mobile gaming rather than a good PC or console
ReplyDeleteMobile games weren't meant to be full experiences like this, more like fun time-wasters or distractions (and don't have graphics that use so much RAM). If I have the time to play a full game in my own home I'd rather do it on a good system. This smells like it was made to be an ROG promotion from the start.
Are these going to be interchangeable playable characters with no apparent distinctions or will Zero and X and such you know actually be unique?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like everyone has two unique abilites. Zero has a ground poundy move and what looks like a flame sword, X had a charged shot and missle, ect
DeleteAlia is X girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteCan people stop with that shit ship?
Deletethat couple is OFFICIAL whether you like it or not! >:-(
DeleteFirst of all, how dare?
DeleteThe best pairing is uhhhhhh... Chill Penguin and Cyber Peacock. Because I said so. :p
omg a comment with the word “shit” actually made it through? I think Anon might be the site owner at this rate.
DeleteI would hope it isn't. Protodude seems like too cool of a dude to get into shipping wars on the comments of his own site.
DeleteLol naw.
DeleteGuys guys who cares about the exclusive content it’s capcom besides you can just YouTube the exclusive content and see for yourselves your not missing anything. Also... it’s an app game so even though my room is covered wall to wall with the MegaMan series I’m not getting it be cause I have standards and I don’t believe in showing demand through pet projects or apps as it only benefits Crapcom not us. “Oh but we get new games” yeah.. after the rampant success of MegaMan 11 a new X games was inevitable ( for console ) and its coming I’m 100% sure of it. App games will never yield the same level of satisfaction and even though Capcoms special they understand this to and won’t endanger the MegaMan IP or cancel it MegaMan is to big to throw away be cause people don’t show demand for used toilet paper like this app game.
ReplyDeleteDude... it has console quality, actually looks like a modernized X game and has 1.5 years of development into it.
DeleteThey are treating this very seriously. Idk why it's a mobile game but they are putting in real effort here.
it's a mobile game to reach a larger audience. especially in the region where it is announced to be realeased first. since there are much more phone gaming in thoses place than home console owning.
DeleteYou acknowledge yourself that it is a little (well, not so little as far as phone games go) project on the side and yet you're judging it as if it was ever meant to be something else.
DeleteI'm getting it for what it is, a very good phone game (judging from what we have seen so far, at least)
true that no one care about the exclusive content since it is just little bonus stuffs, not some necessary gam-changing elements.
I don’t see it being console quality most images or video were blurry and besides even if it looks like a possible console title to some it’s clearly still an app game just look at the obvious signs you will be fighting bosses on random turf like the X3 opening stage boss in flame stag area or something that resembles it if you want to get technical. People can be excited for this but I personally won’t touch it I don’t want to support app games and some of you do and that’s fine but I want more from my favorite series I don’t just want what ever falls in my lap I want quality and not everyone does some are content with ANYTHING and like I said that’s fine but no argument no matter it’s merit will change my mind I’m set in stone and I’m NOT moving on the subject. Have a good one.
ReplyDeletethe "fight x3 boss in flame stag stage" is just the concept of the game, that's not related to being console quality or not.
DeleteNow i don't think it will be console quality either, or more exactly recent console quality. Most phone just woul'dnt be ablt to run if it was. That's just what they say for advertising. But putting that aside, it seems like a good phone game. If you don't like phone game, then yes, it's only natural that you would not suport it, but it's not a matter of taking ANYTHING. If it actually looked like a bad game on it's own, people would'nt be interested in it. But this game here is doing what it is meant to do, being afan-service side-game.
Once again, it is fine if you don't like phone games, but it's called personal tastes, not not having standard or not wanting more from the serie. Of course we want X9, MM12 and legend 3, but that has nothing to do with this.
You Literally said what I said already and my post was suppose to be a reply and I wasn’t the one claiming it was console quality. And plenty of bad games come out that people go head over heels for like Fortnite or Minecraft / No Mans Sky it’s fine if people like them but I again want more from gaming to me those 3 titles aren’t even games to others they are the world and good for them they have less expectations than me and no one has to share them your welcome to like whatever you want but there will always be groups of people fondling over new app games / console games but that attention 98% of the time isn’t guided by expectations of quality or anything justifiable. once again I already covered personal taste just not in your exact words and said it’s fine we don’t share the same opinion. Also this game hasn’t “done what it’s suppose to do” it’s not even released yet who’s to say it will be successful? To me it looks like a side scroller where you blast hordes of enemy’s at specific points and than boss battle... truly unique.... not really. But it’s not out yet so we will see but I won’t drop my doubts over people defending with what I think are shallow points no offense intended.
ReplyDeleteIn many cases, basically changing your site won't get you great rankings for any serious watchword/search terms. You should do off-page SEO too. SEO no cure no pay
