Kotobukiya Reveals Zero Model Kit, New X3 Hyper Armor and Max Armor Images
Wonder Festival is in full-swing and right out of the gate, Kotobukiya revealed a brand new X series model kit: the crimson crusader himself, Zero. Much like the X kit due in September, Zero is 1/12th scale. He is based on his X2~X7 incarnation. It's expected to ship with a Z-Saber and other unannounced accessories. No news yet on price or release date.
Kotobukiya also showed off colored versions of the Rockman X3 Hyper Armor and Max armor kits for the first time, too. You can see what those look like after the break!
According to Dengenki Hobby, the Hyper Armor and Max Armor will be available to pre-order from retailers starting July 29th.
More news as it comes!

So beautiful, omg
ReplyDeleteReally hope it comes with the sabre.
ReplyDeleteAlso that buster shot looks siiick.
Zero looks great. Loving the blast effect parts for Armored X. Nice touch including a Z-Saber with him.
ReplyDeleteGold Armor looks kind of underwhelming. Not a fan of the solid finish. Chrome gold paint would look much nicer. Could always paint it.
Likewise. I was absolutely going to preorder this, but between the lankiness including the face and the flatness of the gold, it immediately dropped off the hype meter.
DeleteThe gold doesn't bother me at all. plated or chrome parts rarely come off the sprues in good condition... at least with a matte coat its easier to color match if one has to
DeleteDoesn't chrome paint also tend to chip? I recall that being a problem with the old model kits.
DeleteIn some cases chrome chips... My old Voltron figure got the tar kicked out of it badly. Luckily, none of my Mega Armor X kits with plating have chipped, at least that I have noticed anyway.
DeleteIt all comes down to handling.
I really hope they do something about Zero's hair... It looks bad... Just a hollow outer shell...
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I'm in.
5 bucks says a Black Zero is coming. But... I'd be impressed with a Nightmare Zero instead. If not both.
There will be zero nightmare. And this version comes with another hair and saber.
DeleteAbsolutely cannot wait for the X3 stuff to come out. Hopefully we learn about a price and release date soon.
ReplyDeleteZero looks great. Hoping for a Black Armor version as well. I wanna do a custom Fake Zero and the color scheme from the Mega Armor kit. Can't wait.
In my excitement with seeing the pictures, I completely missed that the price and dates were shown...
DeleteWhat did I tell you X, Zero, Rock, sometimes Roll classic, MMZ Zero an oddball here and there rinse repeat rinse repeat. MMZ doesn't kill lines it just ends them as the last viable draw. In companies' eyes anyway not mine I think there are plenty more draws.
ReplyDeletedon't assume this is the end... we still haven't seen the model for the most wanted character poll
DeleteWhile it is what happen most of the time, i think they are going to make at least one other character. they talked about it a little while ago iirc.
Deletegood stuff. i'm definitely getting that X3 armor X.
ReplyDeletei'm hesitating about the gold one, though.
Just fantastic….colors, modeling...I just can't wait for those babies. Zero is just awesome but the Max armor is just incredible!!! Waouh!
ReplyDeleteI need 'em all! I decided to opt for getting only the special version of unarmored X, but I can't help but want both Max armor variants anyway.
ReplyDeleteThose look great, I hope they include a Z-buster with Zero. Especially liking the Max armor kits.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion Mega Man never slowed down in terms of figures.
ReplyDeleteAwesome looking kits. Already preordered a couple of each minus Zero. Was hoping he would get a kit. I'd like some bad guys like Sting chameleon, Neon Tiger, Launch Octopus, and one big kit of Rainy Turtloid or Flame Mammoth.
