Released back in 1995, this set of nine "Jumbo Carddass" cards provide a little bit of supplemental information and new artwork to first
Rockman X Mega Mission Carddass series that were also released in the same year. Here's your best look yet at these nostalgic treasures...

Size comparison between Jumbo and Normal Carddass. |
As you can guess from the name "Jumbo", these are over sized cards. They're four
times the size of a normal Carddass. This particular set was the third time Bandai
released Jumbo-sized cards for their
Rockman Carddass series. They previously released two prism Carddass: one for
Rockman 4 and one for
Rockman 5. Sometime later, they also released a set of nine cards with a mix of art from
Rockman X1 and
X2 . And finally, in 1996, they released the "Chip Shooter"
Rockman X Jumbo Carddass.
Aquiring a complete set may prove to be difficult and expensive today, but if you can't find them or afford them, you can always take a look at these scans we have below!
To this day, I still don't get when this story is supposed to take place.
ReplyDeleteIn between X2 and X3 just doesn't make sense, since Dr. Doppler was still considered a good guy in the intro of X3. In fact, wasn't he always a good guy who was just corrupted by Sigma?
after x2 and Xtreme dr.dopler is a good guy but he starts to get corrupted by the virus and running more tests closer to the events of X3 the Mega Mission Story takes place happening just before the events of X3 it fits in better when you take into account that during Xtreme he could use that time to finish perfecting his cure so after Xtreme maverick hunters are sent in to investigate things seem positive but durring this hes being corrupted by sigma. X and Zero show up and Mega Mission happens Dopler Declares war on the hunters X3 happens
DeleteIt is implied that X and Zero never confronted Doppler directly, so they probably had no idea the Limited was made by him. The manga is a reimagination of the plot, so it doesn't count.
DeleteIt really seems like the Xtreme games borrowed some ideas from Mega Mission. I'd love to see a game based on these stories.
ReplyDeleteSame here, i've been wanting a Mega Mission game for years. Would be cool if some fans took a shot at making one since Capcom won't.
DeleteSome of those scans would make awesome posters, I have a few of these cards somewhere.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this, I need it.
