Rockman 30th Anniversary Gold Statue Now Available To Order

Announced a couple of weeks ago on Capcom TV, the ultimate and most expensive piece of Rockman memorabilia is finally available to purchase

The statue comes in two sizes: 100mm and 60mm. The 100mm will run you 2,400,000.00 Yen + Tax ($21,623.00) and the 60mm goes for 690,000 Yen + Tax ($6,216.00). Each ships with a luxurious display and leather case.

The statue will be available until the last day of this year. It's expected to ship between 30 and 60 days after purchase.

Hit the jump below for the full details!

Currently the statue is only available ship within Japan. If you have the means to do so, you can grab it here.

It is very, very unlikely we'll see it sold elsewhere, let alone outside Japan. If you *really* want it, you might want to look into a proxy service or two.

  1. Oh, so it's solid gold (almost).....I guess that's why it's so expensive? Just thinking how much cooler Rockman stuff I could buy with $21k

  2. Just to put this into perspective, the small statue is 30g, which in value of gold, is only $1,270. The big statue is 90g, which in value of gold is $3,807. So you're paying 6-7 times the value of the materials.

  3. Kinda like the box and the display more than the statue. I wonder how is the aim of this stuff, must be old fans that grow with the early games.

  4. Controversial option: I want this. Why? Because, I have been a fan of this series for almost as long as it's been a thing. I have fond memories of rending Mega Man 2 (I know, I know…) and getting excited over new games coming out almost ever year. I can legitimately say that the classic series is my #1 favorite game series ever made.

Now, here's the rub: I would only make a effort to buy one if I won the Lottery. I don't mean the Jackpot, either. Just, ya know… if I won one of the top-three Lottery prizes, or something. Having something like this is the very essence of self-indulgence. Granted, there are far-more-expensive things one could get… It doesn't even cost as much as a used car. But, still… This is definitely not a "spontaneous purchase" item.

TL;DR: I absolutely want one. But, I don't think I'll ever have the cash for it. Heh heh.

    1. I totally get this & would feel the exact same if they did one for X. I like most started with classic growing up, but once X came out here in 94, I’ve been hooked ever since not missing a release or huge majority of the merch released here.

Where are you pricing used cars? Tons of great, used cars can be had for less than either of these!

One of the last used cars I bought -- about 6 years ago, which is a great car that I still drive today -- was $4k, and that's cheaper than both of these statues. A year or so ago I spent $8k on a newer used car.

Anyway, I don't think I'd want either of these even if I had the disposable income; I don't like the pose/sculpt, and I'm not one to collect things just for the sake of provenance; if I don't like to look at it: I don't need it.

    3. So. After reflecting on what I'd say and doing some research, I've decided that this might be the biggest scam since Mighty No. 9. (I know. Low-hanging fruit. I'm sorry.)

Firstly, I didn't see HyperCoyote's post that documented the weight-to-worth of gold. And, after realizing that the statues – which are more like figurines – are only 2.5 and 4 inches tall, respectively… I can easily believe that Capcom (or, whomever) has grossly inflated the cost for who-knows-what reason. Even if there will only be 30 of each one, those prices are freaking insane.

Secondly, I got the impression that these things were a little bigger than a couple inches. I mean, I wasn't expecting a 12-inch tall figure… or, maybe, I was? Either way, if even the biggest one is actually shorter than an action figure… well, is it even worth displaying? (Well, okay. People display coins and stuff… so, maybe.)

Lastly, I apologize for my misspeak. A used car is less than even the small figurine. I'd like to think that I meant to say, "it costs about as much as a used car." I probably had my head on backwards, or something. Mea culpa, hey?

  5. If it was Rush and Rock, or even a different pose that didn't look like a Shadowman ripoff... and weren't the BK Pokémon cards in the larger balls gold plated? Not solid gold.

Some will buy this but no one I know. Gold can be a tough thing to invest with, and this isn't quite a gold bar.

  7. Not an original sentiment I know but unless I suddenly have a winning lottery ticket there's no chance in heck that I will ever own this.

  8. I am a fan and all, but this is the point where Rockman merch officially became stupid... Hard pass even if I had the money. I'd rather give it to charity or something. This is just stupid.

  9. .... didn't the bible and the Simpsons say something about making a solid gold idol of stuff? Lol

  10. I'm good with the fake gold amiibo LOL And even that now is going up in price... The rarest out of all of them...

    1. Nah, there are way more rare amiibos; there's Peach without legs, the big yarn Yoshi, Luigi without his left hand ... and a bunch of Japan exclusives like Qbby.
