It's here – the very first footage of Mega Man: Fully Charged has debuted at Comic-Con. Check out the trailer for the brand-new animated series above.
Entertainment Weekly reports, "All 10 episodes* of Mega Man: Fully Charged will drop on the
official Cartoon Network app (currently one of the most popular content
platforms for kids in the U.S.) and various VOD and on-demand streaming
platforms on Friday, Aug. 3. Those same 10 episodes will then start
airing on a weekly basis every Sunday beginning at 6:30 a.m. ET/PT on
Aug. 5."
*Note: It's been previously confirmed that there's 52, 11-minute episodes. This might be an error on EW's part.
In addition to the series' launch on Cartoon Network, episode trailers will be available on DHX Media's YouTube-based kids' network WildBrain. A Mega Man: Fully Charged-dedicated YouTube channel is expected to launch tomorrow with clips and previews for upcoming episodes.

6:30 am. Well, CN's track record with new cartoons never change.
ReplyDeleteOnly 10? But that is too little. I think this looks nice, I want to watch 26 episodes of it.
ReplyDeleteThat was just horrible.. With the first leaked screens and conceptart I was hopefullbhut this is even worse then that american cartooon...
ReplyDeleteLooks better than I thought but ouch that time slot. Nothing new should debut at 630am on TV.
ReplyDeleteOk. You have some of my attention. The character is on point with megamans character. The ability copying is there. The robot (not the robot masters) look like they would be in the universe. I'll watch this to see how it goes. However, that "going mega" line take that out asap. I know it's the catchphrase but, that'll get ok real quick.
ReplyDeleteDisagreed, when it comes to this megaman,he seems much more preachy than heroic, saying that he fights for unity, saying that the city needs someone like megaman[himself],I dunno, this megaman seems much more arrogant and full of himself. While Rockman always was more humble and honest,he wasn't a robot meant for fighting the social issues of society in regards to humans and robots,he was just fighting the bad guys, doing the right thing,he was light hearted and pure, remember in megaman 7 where he says "I am more than a robot" while almost killig Willy?I wonder if this show goes on if we'll see that,by making rock a human here,it kinds of takes away his character as well.
DeleteWhat also saddens me is that we are never going to see the story of what we see in the games, this seems like its own thing but I barely can recognize mega man in it,I get it,they are doing their own thing then taking some elements of the games is one thing, but here,it seems like they are just taking the name, and the gimmicks. It is just sad being a megaman fan, hwving the closest thing to an accurate portray of the games being a 80s show
I feel the exact same way. But the majority seems to have grasped onto it. So this is what we are going to get as far as a Mega Man cartoon in America. Because the majority of Mega Man fans just accept any garbage thrown their way at this point. I refuse to watch this show aimed at the Surprise Egg video watching crowd. They have had every opportunity to make this show amazing, and they decided to sell out completely instead. I feel like my heart has been ripped out and stomped on. Hope they make a bunch of money off of this, because they had to at least hurt me personally to make that money.
Delete"the majority of Mega Man fans just accept any garbage thrown their way"
Delete"they decided to sell out completely"
"they had to at least hurt me personally to make that money."
are you sure about those statements?
Oh my god. Mega Mini is ALMOST EXACTLY like Plagg! (Even the voices are similar) But anyway the show doesn't look bad at all.
ReplyDeleteLooks bad but we lose nothing watching the first 10 episodes. Looks like a newsground flash game.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at how you came to that conclusion seeing that the animation is much better than a newgrounds flash game
DeleteBut ok, keep with that.
For the first time in my life... I'm gonna have to say it... "I'm gonna have to skip this Mega Man"...
ReplyDeleteSo you never skipped megaman x7 , megaman xover or the whole poke-man exe saga??? Hmmm interesting...
DeleteX7 had a great OST and wasn't even that bad (inb4 it sucks but CM, X8 and MHX don't musically), XOver never came to english speaking countries, so it skipped us, but it had a lot of nice art and GREAT original music which is more than I can say for 80% of quick buck mobile games.
DeleteAnd I'm sure "poke-man" was an action RPG with a free moving grid based battle system that revolved around collecting tools and weapons and armors for a small roster of party members that gain levels through customizations rather than tedious EXP grinding for literally hundreds of potential party members that all have randomized stat upgrades.
I'm sure the "poke" part's main thing wasn't a massive (sh**ty) knockoff of Megami Tensei and Dragon Quest V's monster recruiting gimmicks with Nintendo Tamagotchi style hardware communication features for Tamagotchi style trading and competitive functions. I'm sure the "poke" part innovate the aesthetics it uses that look eerily similar to the Mother franchise that massively predates it what with its Super Mario Bros level of Monster design creativity. I'm sure it invented generic select a text command based and straightforward turn based battle mechanics. I'm sure the "poke" part is the beacon of innovation of which any game with multiple versions of itself is based, you know kinda like being on a cartridge makes every game a Fairchild Video Blackjack knockoff.
So, this is another Megaman universe thing?
ReplyDeleteIt seems close to Mighty no.9
DeleteI died aliitle inside when they played that chiptune music
ReplyDeleteMe too. How dare they associate that music with this...thing.
DeleteI like the premise, looks decent in motion, and the time slot is terrible but dvr fixes that. Let’s give it a shot
ReplyDeleteNo. And while I'm at it, I will also skip putting radioactive waste into my mouth. Because I'm smart enough to know it will kill me .And I'm also smart enough to see this show is complete garbage and Mega Man in name only. No toys, and no views from me.I hope this does a painful death.
DeleteJezze, take a chill-pill bud. It's just a cartoon.
DeleteI don't hate this. But I don't really like it either.
ReplyDeleteNow that I'm not really expecting a true Megaman Classic cartoon, I think I can actually embrace this. The 'go mega' line is a little corny but the show looks like it has promise.
ReplyDeleteI don't dislike it nearly as much as I expected, but no matter what it's a show targeted outside my age group so I doubt I'll ever really get into it.
ReplyDeleteAlso the way they do eyes is cool.
Yawn. That was boring. CN must think so too if it's airing this at SIX THIRTY IN THE MORNING.
ReplyDeleteUgh sad to say this but it is not looking good.
ReplyDeleteIt looks surprisingly decent in motion, but the least they could have done was is get rid of ugly neon shit that's all over the characters. This isn't Tron, it's Megaman!
ReplyDeleteI had pretty low expectations due to the art's that we've seen, but after seeing it in motion... I think it looks pretty good. I'm pleasantly surprised and look forward to seeing more. :)
ReplyDeleteI find it funny some people think "almighty and all-knowing Japan" would have made a better show for Mega Man, but at least this and the Ruby Spears cartoon focus on the action aspect of the games. In case said folks have a selective memory, the last time Japan made an anime for Mega Man...it was an educational title about their country, teaching children no older than kindergarten age about things like which sides of the road people in Japan drive on and how crowded public transportation is over there. It had more Saturday morning plot goofiness than anything the U.S. could have ever made, and they think that's better than this?
ReplyDeleteI actually enjoyed that educational version of Mega Man. It was cute, informative and fun to watch. It's a neat little way of learning about some Japanese culture.
Delete"the last time Japan made an anime for Mega Man...it was an educational title about their country, teaching children no older than kindergarten age about things like which sides of the road people in Japan drive on and how crowded public transportation is over there."
DeleteBeg your pardon? What about the animes based on Battle Network and Star Force?
We're talking about the Classic series here, BN or SF.
Delete*not BN or SF
DeleteIt had fantastic and I mean FANTASTIC animation and stayed true to the designs and artstyle represented in the games BETTER than the games in some cases though. It also had great original music and fight scenes.
DeleteFair enough it wasn't a Mega Man thing in terms of integrity to the lore and whatnot but neither is this AND this doesn't look jack sh** like anything.
Fantastic? Pffffft, you're praising an educational failure of a cartoon meant for preschool kids as having fantastic animation? What did you put in your coffee this morning?
DeleteEh, looks alright. And, the presentation is about 12-million times better than that Mighty No. 9 cartoon teaser. But, that off-key "Theme of Megaman," though… In 2A03 format, no less! Wowie, why?
ReplyDeleteI mean, putting it on at 6:30 in the morning shows that the host probably doesn't think it'll do well anyway. Is that the only timeslot for it right now? Because I'm sensing a mutual lack of faith
ReplyDelete"Why are you a good guy, Mega Man?"
ReplyDelete"Because I do the right thing!"
Looking forward to this already.
Cringe...
ReplyDeleteIt looks fine for a kids show, I'm just kinda put off by the voice they gave Megaman... not sure if better or worse than MM8 voice.
ReplyDeleteEvery Sunday at 6:30 am?
ReplyDeleteTrying to sabotage another one. Eh, Cartoon Network?
As certain as I am about this show being bad, this time slot move suggests that the show is at least better than everything else on the CN schedule otherwise they wouldn't be suppressing it.
