Mega Man: Fully Charged – the brand-new animated series airing on Cartoon Network this fall – is making its grand debut at Comic-Con. According to the official 2018 SDCC schedule, footage from the show will be screened during a panel on Friday, July 20th at 6:00 pm:
"Kazuhiro Tsuchiya (CAPCOM, video game producer, Mega Man, Asura's Wrath), Man of Action (creators of Ben 10 and the team and characters of Big Hero 6), and Logan McPherson (DHX Studios, VP, creative and animated production, Slugterra, The Deep, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2D series)) give a behind-the-scenes peek into the production of this new animated show, aimed at kids 5 to 11.
Celebrating the 30-year legacy of this iconic, game-based character, the panelists will discuss the background and creative evolution of the new series, followed by screening of never-before-seen footage from the show, coming soon to Cartoon Network."
The panel will take place in Room 25ABC from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. No word yet if there will be a live stream or if the footage will be available online. I'll keep you posted either way!

lol Nobody cares. It should crossover with Rise of the TMNT!!
ReplyDeleteI care I think this show could be great if people just give it a chance
DeletePLASMA POWER!
ReplyDeleteCan’t they premiere it in a backalley somewhere or behind a Denny’s, then accidently lose the whole season in a fire? That would be better I think.
ReplyDeletemega man only in name
ReplyDeleteOh? So they're finally showing something new about the cartoon? Alright then, hopefully whatever they show would be able to give me some hope that the cartoon would be fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious to see the show in action. Hope it'll be decent.
ReplyDeleteFor all the trash talk I've given to this, I am crossing my fingers and truly hoping for the best.
ReplyDeleteKnow what would be great? If all of a sudden they called this Mighty No.9. Boom problem solved! Then it'd be two things people fully don't give a damn about.
ReplyDeleteJust like the real mightno.9 show. Only difference, "THIS" is real and coming
DeleteI am going to prevent that it didnt exist. I will ignore it.
ReplyDeleteThe word you're looking for is pretend.
DeleteJapan needs to make new Rockman animate series of NES version. I would be so happy!
ReplyDeletewow so much hate. give it a chance people! you might like it. i'm really liking the design. oh, you know what? make it a skin DLC for MM11.
ReplyDeleteDLC skin? What would that solve? People are mostly put off by the design, so that would only make things worse for them.
DeleteI'll give the show a chance but I'm already not liking most of what I've seen and heard about it at all. The art direction is lazy and Aki looks like a weird X knockoff, the story concept or premise is overdone, and there are additions that don't make sense (Mega Mini?).
But I will be fair and give the show a chance before I make a final judgement. I mean, Sonic Boom ended up being a great cartoon, even though there were things that seriously bugged me and many other fans about it. Hopefully that will be the case here with Mega Man.
Please don't.
Deletesure. worse for those who don't like the design. but how about others who do? i liked the design. it's new. it's fresh. everyone has their own opinion on things but not everyone has to agree. you don't like it, that's fine. i for one do like it.
DeleteHey, don't worry about it. I'm not a person who ever forces their views on another. If anyone understands that we all have our own free will and opinions, it's this guy.
DeleteBack to the design, it's not the absolute worst thing I've seen, but I would definitely change some things here. The biggest issue I have is with the face and eyes.
Do you believe there are enough people who like the design to make it worth making a DLC costume? Be honest.
Deleteplease keep this design as far from and out of the games as possible. if it demands to be its own thing then its own thing it should stay.
DeleteFor the sake of shrap, let's do this! LOL
DeleteTAG, there's only one way to figure this out scientifically; let the DLC happen :)
Hey AmienZero, only ageed if you also agree with the inclusion of BBA skin for MM11 hoo! haa! Huoh! *Zeloo SFX*
Remember people, just as stated above:
"...this new animated show, aimed at kids 5 to 11."
We're like 89 years old "intarnet peepols", not the targeted audience :P
I believe there's going to be a tie-in game down the line, so no need for the skin.
Deleteso then the games are aimed at us as audience. keep this show, for lack of better words, out of the games. i have no desire to spend a penny on and/or have an incomplete game cause of this... thing.
DeleteThis guy looks like a baby doll faced scrunched up version of a hybrid Tron legacy avatar and X with thinner curvier than usual upper arm and thigh parts.
Deletesure. i don't mind BBA skin as well. i HOPE there's enough people who liked the design for capcom to think it's worth it to add this skin to mm11. wishful thinking.
Delete@Anonymous:
Delete"TAG, there's only one way to figure this out scientifically; let the DLC happen :)"
Nooooot really how it works. If there isn't an interest in that, making it anyways would be a waste of time and money. If Capcom doesn't have reason to believe that there is an interest, why would they chance the DLC in the hopes that there is an interest?
@shrap, without those skins or any DLCs, the game is already complete as the way it is, and you don't have to buy those skins that you despised. Maybe CAPCOM should canned MM11 so that you could play along the wishing-for-it-to-come-true game eh? Haaa!
Delete@TAG, but we will only know the outcome through the scientific method, hence the sales figures XD
Else, it's going to be a chicken an egg problem because we'll just expressing opinions without discrete data. Wait a seconds! Is it because you hate that Mega Man's appearance too so you used the business point of view as counterpoints?
You know what? I think I'm going to apply for a job at CAPCOM as "Mega Man Experimentalist" (I wanted to write Expert but you might hate me more), it is a job about anything that's pertaining to Mega Man. I believe at some point, the conversation is going to be something like this:
Mega Man Experimentalist (ME): Sir, I've got an idea about... Mega Mangs!
CAPCOM Man (CM): What it that about?
ME: DLC skins for Mega Man, you know, from those cartoons, animes, mangas, comics, BBA, XOver and uh! uh! uh! Ucchi-san's skin too!
CM: Is there any interest for that? Does it bring any profit?
ME: Yes of course!
CM: How do you know?
ME: Because I said so!
CM: Okay, I believe in you!
Just you wait TAG, lol
@AmienZero, if somebody was able to create a mod of Mighty Beckaroo the Nine-Man skin for Super Smash Bros, maybe MM11 might be modded by someone else too? Some videos in action here:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZzCZ3nk8aY
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cQxaxqFIkzI
Well, pretty sure many out there opposes to these abhorrent skins idea (because Mega Man is like their spirit animal). Your only hope is if there's a willing modder out there, it takes a lot of works and times to recreate the skin and moreover they have to hack the game first.
@Anon:
DeleteUh...what?
Just being playful TAG, that's all.
Delete@AmienZero,
ReplyDeleteIt is not Japan version of Rockman. It's an American MegaMan so called version. So wrong looking and wrong design, no. I am not liking it at all! WHAT A UGLY CARTOON in AMERICA! IT WILL FAILED!
okay. you made your point not liking it. but calling it will fail before it starts? come on. you don't like it, then ignore the show and walk away. the rest of us who like it will stay to see if it delivers.
DeleteLOL! I am not watching it at all. It will fail anyway. Poor rating, that is. :)
DeleteIf you're going to disagree with someone, get your grammar correct. I also find it amusing you're spewing your anti-America hate because of a TV show. Seriously, get some help.
DeleteAmerican cartoons of Japanese IP always suck. The Ruby Spears cartoon was trash and this will be even worse. Also, kid not liking an American adaptation doesn't mean you hate America. Maybe it's YOU that need help and probably some proper reading comprehension.
Delete^He typed America in all caps, junior. Sure sounds like he's trying to emphasize something negative about the nation. As for your post, it's a two-way street. Japanese adaptations of American IPs are utter low tier bunk, like Powerpuff Girls Z or Marvel Avengers Disk Wars.
DeleteI thought these comments were moderated? :V :V
DeleteAnonymousJuly 9, 2018 at 10:35 PM
DeleteLol, he didn't imply anything negative about the nation, son. Just that american adaptations of Japanese franchises suck which they do. Nice try though.
I like the design just fine. It's the story I'm mostly concerned with. Sgt Night just sound so lame.
ReplyDeleteCalling it a "grand" debut is pushing the term. Regardless of whether the show will be good or not (and it won't), a production of such low magnitude doesn't really qualify as a grand debut. It's like calling anal leakage a grand bowel movement.
ReplyDeleteDude, your last sentence nearly made me do a spit-take. XD
DeleteHow toxic can one get?
Delete"Toxic"
DeleteAre you 2 years old? Grow the hell up. Stop using buzzwords to people you disagree with.
Didn't know toxic was a buzzword, but no matter what you call it, it's a descriptor for an embarrassingly poor attitude. It's negativity sprinkled with clever little analogies. It's being cynical at a time where we should be excited to get new content, no matter the sort.
DeleteDo I think this show is going to be a shining highlight of the Mega Man IP? Not really, but it's new, it's different, and it may be good in its own way. How old's the person making the original comment before the show even airs? 2? 1 and a half? Think about it.
"It's being cynical at a time where we should be excited to get new content, no matter the sort."
DeleteDisagreed. That is a recipe for crap quality which harms the brand. You shouldn't shrug all sense of discrimination and accept any and everything that comes your way and be thankful for it regardless just because it is presented to you at a specific time. That doesn't make any sense.
I foresee this show having a moderate cult following years after it ends(mainly composed of people introduced to Mega Man through it, or it being one of the first pieces of Mega Man media they see), but it'll have a hard time getting an audience as it plays. Especially since it's coming to Cartoon Network, where a lot of shows that aren't Teen Titans Go have had to compete with each other way more than they should. Looking at how they handled Sonic Boom, one of their more prominent licensed shows within these past few years...yeah, things aren't looking good for this.
ReplyDeleteWhen this was originally revealed I thought the target demographic was ages 6 to 9.
ReplyDeleteDid that change? I don't know if it really matters at all, just something I might have noticed/remembered incorrectly.
Did they do away with that stupid Mega Mini?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see this dumpster fire in action.
