Mega Man: Fully Charged Episode 3 Part 1 Preview

Another day, another Mega Man: Fully Charged clip. This preview comes from the episode "Drilling Deep Part 1". (unblocked version here: https://youtu.be/W_ueQcxGvTs)

In this clip, we get to see a little bit of Aki before he transforms into Mega Man to take on a raging Drill Man. Apparently, Drill Man used to be a musician – he was "born with music in his heart". His father, however, forced him into the family business, mining, and replaced his hands with drills.

Stay tuned for more Mega Man: Fully Charged clips soon!

  2. I like the idea that Mega Man can copy the abilities of a Robot Master while he's fighting them, with the trade-off that he has to make sure that the beam stays on them the whole time he's downloading their information. I think that'll really come into play with some encounters later on that'll help make them more interesting than they might be otherwise, especially if more involved powers take longer to download.

And while it's mainly meant to serve a joke, the fact Drill Man talks about how he was forced by his robot father into doing what he didn't want to...I wonder, are the Robot Masters in this series going to be more along the lines of Reploids? Heck, just the fact he even has a robot father raises that question for me.

  3. Weird and not related to Japan's storyline at all. Weird, indeed. I dont like it.

    2. "How dare this show not be a 1:1 recreation of the same story I've been told before. Those heathens!" /s

    3. While it's fine to state your opinion, can you stop saying "Japan". Just say Classic.
As a Japanese it really bothers me.

    4. Jeffrey, are you seriously making fun of Mega Man fans who are unhappy with this show for not being at all like the thing its based on?

    5. Matt, this show IS based around the core idea of Mega Man. This is simply another iteration of the base concept. Saying it isn't "at all" like the thing it's based on is denial.

It's made itself very clear that it is its own thing within the franchise. Just like how Battle Network appeared and was wildly different from Japa--I mean, Classic Mega Man, or even X. What of Legends? They're different, but kept enough of what Mega Man is, or can be, and made their mark.

I think a few concepts are new and interesting, such as the method in which Mega gains powers and the adverse side-effects they bring. Try to give this thing a chance, guys.

    6. MegaMac : What are you talking about ? These series were made by the official Rockman team. This stupid show IMO is just an ugly american fan fiction that is NOT Rockman/Mega Man. You just naively fall into a cartoon network trap and I feel sorry for you.

  4. And here I thought "I was just doing my job until humans decided I wasn't doing it good enough" would be the common motivation between robot masters

    Didn't expect pianist drillman

  5. Me-meh-me-meh-meeeh-meeeh-Meganize Me?! E-e-e-excuse me?! No?!
(How I missed that in the earlier clips, I'll never know.)
Also… Drillman's father? Are those flashback things in Aki's head, or the Robot Master's? Who could Drillman's "father" even be? Crashman…? Or, just… "Drillman, Sr?"
Also. His personality reminds me of Launch Octopus, from Maverick Hunter X.
And, lastly… are all these Robot Masters going to sound like electronic gravel? Aki sounds "normal!"
Granted, the two Robot Masters that we've heard haven't exactly been made to "be as close to human as possible," but…

  6. I still stand by the fact that I think these people didn't know the difference between Classic and X and decided to model this main character after X.

  7. Know what I find funny? There are people out there who legit thinks the show is garbage just because Man of Action is at the helm. It's freakin Michael Bay syndrome.
