Direct feed gameplay of the Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 version of Mega Man X8 was featured on Capcom TV today. The game's visuals are indeed rendering at a higher resolution – things are sharp, colorful, and just overall nice to look at. What's more, load times are essentially non-existent. I don't think it's a stretch to say we might be looking at the best version of X8 yet.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 (and Legacy Collection 1) launch on July 24th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Yo, that load time was super quick! and the visuals look much sharper and nicer too. PLS for the love of Light, give this game another chance, everyone!
ReplyDeleteThe graphic resolution and loading times are all well and good, but it's too bad there's nothing they can do to improve the gameplay itself.
ReplyDeleteX8 isn't great, but it isn't really bad. It is okay.
DeleteNow X7, on the other hand....
It wasn't that bad. Although, I played it immediately after beating X7 so maybe it just felt a lot better by comparison.
DeleteImprove the gameplay itself ? Explain ?
DeleteAdmittedly, I can agree with you that some of the gameplay is shaky (the Ride Chaser sequences specifically), but there's still some fun to be had in X8.
DeleteImplying that there is anything to improve regarding gameplay
DeleteI will grab PS4 version because of 2 discs. I dont want a digital downloading at all. I like a collector's item, thats why.
ReplyDeleteI don't see how anyone can truly see and appreciate the new visual refinements through this YouTube video. On the highest setting, it still doesn't do it justice. I'm sure it looks very nice though and will be amazing while playing.
ReplyDeleteBuy it, everyone so that they can continue their project for Rockman X9 just like Rockman 11. :)
ReplyDeleteThats cool.
ReplyDeleteI always liked X8, with 2 exceptions.
Some stages were increadibly short and "Squid Cookie" stage.
But 6 playable characters and an awesome OST were more than adequate to make up for it
