Nothing against cheap recolors, but how about some classic Megaman love? A Metal Blade Megaman variant? A Quick Boomerang? I'd settle for Item-2 at this point...
They were exclusives unfortunately(and I'm sure this will be exclusive somewhere too.), but they did make Power Mega Man, Jet Mega Man, and Super Adapter Mega Man way earlier last year, They've definitely shown some Classic Mega Man love, hell I'd argue those are the best variants out of the line since they aren't just recolors, and actually feature some sculpt modifications.
I'm sold on this because the color looks nice and we honestly never get Star Force stuff, or really anything that isn't Classic or X outside of this line.
Well, think about how many Classic MegaMan figures there are already. Sure, availability's an issue sometimes, but there's been plenty over the years. The series being released by 4Inch-Nel have had little love over the years when it comes to figurines. The only Legends one I know of is custom garage kit that's no longer made. MegaMan.EXE had those Mattel toys for a while, and somewhat nicer figures in Japan, but that was all. StarForce had just one line of figures and a McDonald's toy. I really like the fact that we aren't getting Classic, X, or Zero figures from these guys. If they released some, great, but I feel that these series deserve more love first.
there is some classic love. while on the other hand, this is probably only the second or third proper StarForce figure ever. (due to capcom "no merch before 15th anniversary" thing, that they somewhat seemed to have dropped.
A bunch of the recent Mega Man figures -- including some D-Arts -- have gone out of print and are actually selling for more than they did when they were released; some people who bought these figures may have actually profited by purchasing them upon release.
What's not a "waste of money" anyway? Is buying a figure (which is essentially art, or sculpture) any less of a "waste" than complaining about how other people spend their money on an internet forum?
I agree with the above post. I've always thought digital games are the biggest scam, nothing to trade in or sell. At least most games hold their value overtime, I play most ps vita. Almost every MegaMan figure is worth more after a year past the release, I don't think you'll ever lose money on a MegaMan figure unless you open it.
find it rather funny that people complain about this figurine, asking for more x/classic figures when this is the SECOND high-quality starforce figurine ever. i can't tell you how many x/classic figurines i've seen in the past few years - i've been WAITING for starforce to get some well-deserved merch!
this and volnutt are the black sheep as it were when it comes to merchandise. however, while it is FANTASTIC that they are making them, this also opens the realm of what people want and what they are willing to do. for example, we want a roll to be made and, they have made the 2 pack that have changeable heads, so why not make a pack with roll having both costumes on as a option. one head, two bodies. maybe even a additional characters who you would never expect like how the lan came with the program figure (even if it only came with two points of articulation.) dr. light with auto, eddie, or beat. it's those possibilities are what drives us (or rather me anyway.) but, i won't lie when i say if they decided to make a volnutt roll, or a solo figure i would buy that in a heartbeat (even if i may/ may not bash it in the unforseen future.)

Deleteand no one was surprised in the least. nice call though.
ReplyDeleteyeah, they did the april fool trick before, so of course we saw it coming this time.
Deletei'd arguably say they weren't even trying to surprise us.
I want it!!!
ReplyDeleteMy bank accounts needs saving! The last time I looked up a mega man 4-inch merch, I ended up preordering it without even thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteLooks cool, so this is the last figure in the 4Inch series?. Nothing more announced as far as I know.
ReplyDeleteI hope that this version will be perfect and we will be able to see something better than the previous version.
ReplyDeleteRelease dates or preorders?
ReplyDeleteNope, not yet.
DeleteMost likely when the regular version is released. But is going to be store exclusive like the other special figures.
Delete*sigh* Another day, another stupid MM figure for people who like to waste money.
ReplyDeleteYup

I'd rather buy a toy that I can look at everyday rather than buy a beer that is, literally, pissing away money.
