Velguarder's got competition, it seems. I don't like the armor at all though, it just lazily snaps on over X's regular body instead of replacing it like his other armors do. For $120 this thing's getting to be really underwhelming. I'll probably grab it if it goes on clearance, but that's about it.
X's armor looks suspiciously like the Wing Zero... https://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/gundam/images/a/ad/XXXG-00W0_Wing_Gundam_Zero.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/310?cb=20120713200947
The armor set look suspiciously like the Angel Armor Copy X uses in Megaman Zero 1. So that's what it looks like if translated to the older X series design. COOL!
One more thing... so that's what the clear parts are for. They actually look better when an armor part is attached to it, compared to the plain one.
Rush is a reference to a form of progressive rock, based on a quick search. Not a play on speed. But I do like the idea of a name Urgent. That is kinda catchy.
I doubt this is a model kit. Firstly, it is under Chogokin meaning there will be diecast. I am not saying Chogokin can't be model kits though.
Secondly, the original Mega Armor series figures were barely model kits. You just had to remove the armor parts from the tree and attach them to thr base body which came assembled. Only exception is the Ultimate Armor.
Finally, given the price it would be ridiculous to be a model kit.
dog looks like a zoids wolf thing.
ReplyDeletethat's what i thought it was going to be.
ReplyDeletegood with the piece assembling to form the upgraded armor
Damn! The armored X look like a gundam.
ReplyDeleteas if X fought a gundam, and got gundam powers. that's cool
X, Gundam...Gundam X? Also, insert obvious reference to G Gundam and Mark Gatha. XD

ReplyDeletei think it's made on purpose. they decided to go for armor instead of replacement piece.
DeleteThe pictures are beautiful. The price undoubtedly won't be.
ReplyDeleteOmfg, so cool!

he fought the Zero and got this upgrade
DeleteI guessed right!!! Woot!! I win this cool idea on a figure that I will buy,!!
ReplyDeletePut this in a Game, Capcom! Save your franchise.
ReplyDeleteI knew it. Still looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteSweet merciful rice crackers! That's actually a pretty badass way to interpret Rush for the X series. Sigma's pooch does not compare anymore. :O
ReplyDeleteI.
ReplyDeleteAm.
In.
LOVE!!!!!!!!
At first, I wasn't going to buy this because of the TERRIBLE price.
I am buying.
The armor design looks sick. The colors... not so much.
ReplyDeleteIt's a model kit; it's supposed to be painted.
DeleteIf you don't like the colors: paint it.
I know, it's just, that those are the vanilla colors, the original color scheme.
DeleteWow.....this is probably one of the most exciting things to happen in the X world in years...
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the set likely costs close to $300 pains me. Because I need this, so bad.
ReplyDeleteDo not worry.
DeleteIt costs around 116usd.
GODDAMN!
ReplyDeleteWhat the--?! That... No...?
ReplyDeleteI mean, X looks freaking awesome, but the "Rush" thing...? A bit too "generic robot" for my taste.

exactly what i was thinking. when seing the base X, i found the transparence thing a bit off, but now it all make sense.
DeleteOh god my wallet weeps i need thi sin my life
ReplyDeleteDo you guys think Bandai would do better with Mega Man than Capcom?
ReplyDeleteUndoubtedly. Bandai knows how to build franchises.
DeleteCapcom knows how to bury them.
Rush Adapter for Mega Man and Treble Boost for Bass when?
ReplyDeleteI will call Rush -- Rush X but he doesn't existed in the game. How could that be ? Nonsense.
ReplyDeletethey decided to make it because a Rush X is cool. cool is the explanation for theses kind of things. a very good explanation.
DeleteI prefer if they were more creative with the name like calling It Hurry or Urgent or something, rather than just Rush X, Rush X sounds lazy.
DeletePlus the fusion names would be hilarious Hurry X Jet(armor) Urgent Power Punch(attack).
Rush is a reference to a form of progressive rock, based on a quick search. Not a play on speed. But I do like the idea of a name Urgent. That is kinda catchy.
DeleteThat Rush reminds me of the red dragon Megazord from whatever power rangers/ sentai series that was from. But with dog legs.
ReplyDeleteI really want one of these.
ReplyDeleteI just want to know to things:
Is this a Model or a Figure?
Is this the only product in the "Giga Armor Series" line!?"
I'm starting to get the impression this isn't a model, but a figure.
I also do not think that thing is Rush. It might be a wolf. I wouldn't call it Rush X. That's just silly, until otherwise corrected.
It looks like Bandai has revealed official names for the components of the bundle.
ReplyDeleteThe ride chaser is called "ADU-R381B - Cavalerie", new Rush is called "Rush Jagt" and the armor is named "GBF Armor".
tamashii.jp/special/gigaarmor/
It have the feeling that the page gives some background to the stuff included but i cannot confirm as it is in japanese.
Looks like preorders are up on some sites.
ReplyDeleteCool concept, don't really see the Mega Man X style in that Rush design.. looks like it belongs to something else. But still cool.

That sucks :( I was really looking forward to the customization possibilities.
DeleteC'est la vie.
Still gonna get one though. Just cause it looks boss.
Interesting, the word Jagt means Hunt or Pursuit. I have no idea what G.B.F stands for, any ideas?
ReplyDeleteEh. Armor design looks too Gundam. Rush is ok.
ReplyDeleteits a reploid!? no! its a gundam!!! :D
ReplyDeleteLOL I don't know about you guys, but to me, all this looks VERY anime (And I don't mean X's face!)...
ReplyDeleteI love it!
