Mega Man X3 finally
joins the growing library of Super Nintendo Virtual Console titles on New Nintendo 3DS today. The SNES classic will set you back $7.99.
Aaaand that should be it for SNES
Mega Man games! Capcom still has a tight leash on
Mega Man Soccer and the Super Famicom version of
Rockman & Forte, though. Both games haven't been re-released on any Virtual Console (the former's GBA version did hit Wii U) so I wouldn't count on that changing anytime soon.
Who knows? Maybe things will change with the Nintendo Switch's inevitable Virtual Console.
do we know anything about X3 arranged?
ReplyDeleteYou say tight leash on Mega Man Soccer. Has Capcom ever lead on why they don't want to re-release the game?
ReplyDeleteIt's missed Wii, Wii U and now 3DS Virtual Consoles. Capcom are passing up these opportunities deliberately, I think. I don't know why. I mean, it's generally understood the game was sold unfinished.. maybe that's why.
DeleteIt was sold unfinished? Never played it but what does that mean?
DeleteThe game is missing TONS of content. It doesn't even have an ending. Some of these things are actually dummied-out, tho: https://tcrf.net/Mega_Man's_Soccer
DeleteOh wow thanks for the info, that's crazy. They did stuff like that even back then huh? Crazy.
DeleteDoes this mean Demon's Crest is next?
ReplyDeleteThis is probably the best western cover art for a MM game outside of MMLC.
ReplyDeleteUgh, damn that New 3DS. I'm not interested in getting one, but I'd love to take MMX3 on the go. Why wasn't the old 3DS good enough?
ReplyDeleteBoth will be obsolete soon because of the Switch, I don't recommend the investment, especially if you already have a 3DS and need to upgrade to a N3DS.
