'Did You Know Gaming?' Tackles Mega Man Legends
I'd wager a good few of you will learn something new from Did You Know Gaming's recent Mega Man Legends feature. Here, the crew looks at some of the more obscure MML factoids; for example, did you know the story originally featured a 4-sided love triangle? (err, love square?). Interesting stuff, especially if you're new to the series.
Speaking personally, I'm honored to be featured in this episode!

We're Getting Mega Man Sunglasses. Sunglasses.
I'll let the Entertainment Earth product description speak for itself: "Become the Blue Bomber with these Mega Man Helmet Sun-Staches! Save the day with these fantastic glasses featuring the iconic helmet of Mega Man. Join the fight against Dr. Wily with these Mega Man Helmet Sun-Staches."
I don't know what's worse: the fact these will soon exist OR the criminally missed opportunity for Proto Man shades. C'mon, people.

Second Mega Man Legacy Collection Steam Patch Live
Heads up: a second but very small patch for Mega Man Legacy Collection went live on Steam yesterday. According to the change log, it fixes "an issue which caused text and some textures to render as solid blocks of color." This minor annoyance is not an issue on home consoles, so no worries there.
Hopefully Capcom will roll out similar fixes over time for some of the other prevalent issues on PC. While the March update was a welcome addition, many users continue to cite performance issues.
Thanks, Saikyo!

Mega Man Pop! Vinyl Figures Listing Leaked
I'm surprised it's actually taken this long but it's happening: a Pop! Vinyl Mega Man line is in the works. The above listing recently appeared in GameStop's catalog, well ahead of any official announcement from Funko or Capcom.
At least six figures will make up the line: Mega Man, Proto Man, Rush, Dr. Wily and two GameStop exclusive color variants, Mega Man Fire Storm and Mega Man Ice Slasher. The pair will be based off of Fire Man and Ice Man's weapon colors, respectively.
Hopefully we're not too far off from seeing what these little guys look like. Stay tuned!

Hack 'n Slash Fan-Game "Reploid Zero" Coming Later This Week
For your consideration, here's a brief look at "Reploid Zero" -- a mobile fan-game from Chateau Studios due later this week. The premise is simple: cut down as many Pantheon foot soldiers as you can while staying alive. Pantheons will retaliate with close-quarters weapons. Zero can guard against these attacks... but do it too much and they'll beat the scrap out of you.
It may not be the extensive Devil May Cry-esque Zero game some fans have longed for, but it seems fun! Check out more gameplay at Chateau's YouTube Channel here.

Is This The Logo For The New Mega Man Cartoon?
Dentsu Entertainment has whet our appetites for next year's new Mega Man cartoon with what might be the show's logo. The above image appeared on Dentsu USA's expertise landing page, where they describe everything we know so far about the project. It's certainly attuned to the familiar, right down to the classic color composition.
With little other information available about the 2017 series, it's hard to say if this is the logo or something temporarily put together. Either way, it's something to chew on. Fingers crossed for more news soon!

Keiji Inafune Makes a Super Mario Maker Level
Taking a break from wrapping Mighty No. 9, a procrastination-positive Keiji Inafune whipped up an exclusive level for Super Mario Maker. The trials players will face, he says, adhere closely to Mega Man (and Mighty No. 9) design philosophy. You'll encounter terrain with a huge emphasis on precision jumping and single-bound pitfalls. It's nostalgic, almost. The level code is: 780C-0000-020E-166A
So yeah, thanks for this one, Inafune. Now get back to work.

Mega Man Legends 2 Soars to PSN Today (Updated x2)
Residents of North American can grab Mega Man Legends 2 from PSN right now for a cool $9.99. The game is playable on PS3... but there appears to be an error on Vita and PSP. Trying to download the game on Vita results in the message "cannot download using this system." Uh-oh?
Hopefully it's just a small hiccup that will be rectified soon. I'll keep an ear to the ground; more news on this soon.
UPDATE: PSP works if you connect directly to a PS3. It appears Vita is incompatible entirely, for one reason or another
UPDATE 2: Vita works! All you need to do is buy it from your browser on PS3, then check your download list on Vita. Alternatively, try searching for MML2 from the Vita Store.

New Mega Man Title Planned From Capcom's "Mobile Business Division"
This isn't an April Fool's joke, friends. Capcom Japan has announced the establishment of a new "Mobile Business Division" to produce new titles based on its popular intellectual properties. According to the press release, the company plans to release four titles based on Mega Man, Monster Hunter and Sengoku Basara by the fiscal year ending March 31st, 2017.
The Mobile Business Division aims to incorporate Capcom-owned Beeline Interactive business practices with Capcom's brands to broaden the availability of content and software worldwide. The company plans to strengthen revenue in Asian markets by licensing successful Japanese software for the region. Finally, as part of this reorganization, Beeline Interactive Japan has been rebranded as Capcom Mobile.
Today marks the start of the new fiscal year. Between now and March 31st, 2017, Mega Man will be making the jump to mobile in some capacity. Pending specifics, there really isn't much else to say than that. More updates on this story as it comes!
