Official Rockman EXE Plushies Are Headed Your Way (Updated)
Well this is a bit... random. In recent times we've seen a huge influx of classic series goods. Come early 2016, though, Capcom turns its merchandising gaze to Rockman EXE with a pair of new plushies.
Say hello to the "Rockman EXE All Star Series". Rockman EXE himself, Blues and a Mettaur spearhead this new line, a follow-up to San-ei's previous Rockman plushies. Both characters are due in Japan on February 25th, 2016. Pre-orders are live on Amazon Japan and Hobby Stock. There's a very good chance we'll see these overseas as San-ei's plushies typically populate pop-culture retailers in North America.
Update: Blues spotted!

The Rockman EXE one is awesome, i miss the rockman exe serie a lot, even if i think the next megaman game should be a classic/X one, i could cry if the mmEXE serie is back.... :)
ReplyDeleteThe anime was so nice too!
The EXE series was excellent numba one, but it is time for us to move on to sector 2 1 5 at warp 9... engage.
DeleteI will be getting both of these. *0*
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. It'd be super awesome if Serenade got a plushie too.
That Mettaur plush calls to me
ReplyDeleteI need that Mettaur plush in my life!
ReplyDeleteThat Mettaur plushie.. I need it...
ReplyDeletealthough I'm more into figurines than I am plushes and I'd prefer EXE figurines I do think these look great, I'll need to grab that Mega Man. Again I know I'm wishing upon a star here, but I hope We can start seeing more anything from the Star Force series one day, at least throw SF Mega Man in the next Capcom crossover Fighter.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask why now? I like the Battle Network series and all, but they have done little to nothing with it for years beyond re-releases on the Wii U.
ReplyDeleteThat Mega Man merch money must be flowing.
March 2016 is MegaMan Battle Network's 15th anniversary.
DeleteThey haven't done anything with any series (except classic in smash) besides re-releases for a while, that didn't stop them from making plenty of X and Classic merch, so them releasing some EXE stuff isn't really that unrealistic. Also July 2016 is ZX's 10th anniversary and December 2016 is Star Force's 10th anniversary yet I doubt both of those will get anything, They're probably just making EXE plushes just to make EXE plushes.
DeleteOk forgive my Ignorance, I've just realized that these are being released in march my mistake, Sorry for being a downer.

DeleteAh, okay. Now that makes a bit more sense. Thank you.
@ShaolinTurtle
That's a fair point I suppose. The demand for Mega Man has been obvious so I imagine that's largely what's spurred all of the merchandise. That and the initial waves of merch selling well of course, so they continued and have now been pumping it out for years.
I can't believe they so largely squandered the free promotion for the franchise that was Mega Man's inclusion in Smash. I mean, I know the character will always be in Smash 4, but to have so little prepared for the franchise to take advantage of that big push. Seems so wasteful in hindsight.
Bass and Gospel PLEASE
ReplyDeleteI guess this means that the upcoming new Mega Man cartoon is actually a dub of Rockman.EXE Stream? :P
ReplyDeleteNah, it's a completely new cartoon. Who knows what it could be about. If it was a new .EXE cartoon I would cry tears of joy.
DeleteNice! I really like the previous plushies and if they continue with more Mega Men or characters, big or small, then this will turn out to be a wholesome, awesome line-up. =)
ReplyDeleteOh those look pretty nice, I was always kinda bummed out that I missed out on the original EXE plushie from ba~~~
ReplyDelete>priced at $40+ after conversion to Canadian
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT. Fuck that.
Forty bucks for plushies? Get out of here with that shit.
I'm still laughing my ass off that Bandai actually thinks their D-Arts shit is worth $40-50 with how cheap the plastic is with that. Let alone $40 for FUCKING PUPPETS. XD
