TruForce Unveils Reimagined Mega Man X Ride Chaser
Did you back TruForce Collectibles' Mega Man X Kickstarter? If your funds went towards some of the higher tiers, set your sights on the image above. This Ride Chaser print is coming with your order.
This is the handiwork of Capcom artist Keisuke Mizuno. It's a very fine piece, no doubt, but wouldn't it be great to have a physical Ride Chaser to go along with your brand new MMX? Yeah, that's happening too. The Ride Chaser is TruForce's next project; the extra money accumulated during the MMX Kickstarter will go towards the figure's production. As soon as we hear more about it, we'll let you know.
In the meantime you can hit up this link for a bevy of new Mega Man X images. He's due out in September for $79.99.

Is there gonna be a new X game? All this really awesome design work can't only be for merchandise concepts can it???
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it's a big leap from concept art and figures to an actual game. If it weren't we probably would have seen one from Capcom by now, what with all the merchandise that has been being pumped out over the last 5 years or so.
DeleteThat said, it's certainly not impossible, but if I were you I would keep my expectations in check.
Looks like a bike not a chaser. Dont chasers hover?
ReplyDeleteHmm, I wonder how characters in the Megaman X series would look like if it were to be remade like this. That's it, Megaman X9 must happen right NOW!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it. Man I love it! I hope they make more of these figures! Zero reimagined would be great, as would Sigma and Vile! Of course, really anybody would suffice for me! But being the hardcore Zero fan I am, maybe I'm a bit biased. Lol
ReplyDeleteI will admit this pic is sick!!! However I prefer the classic X design, this guy looks like one of those super detailed, over the top, Japanese, fan mechas. Although I wouldn't mind this design with a spinoff game like Command Mission or something, preferable a 3D fast paced 3rd person action game.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome. I would love to see the systems of today pushed to their limits with graphics and content with our heroes! This design would be great for such a game. Maybe the storyline could take place long after Zero's hibernation. I've always wondered how hard it must be, what kind of impact it would have on poor X to face such difficult trials without his friend to encourage him!
DeleteThis picture is cool, but I like the original design better. This looks over the top and similar to complex mechanized renditions commonly found on Japanese art sites. This design would more fit a spinoff game.
ReplyDeleteTo the people commenting on how the design looks very Gundam-like; you're right on the money.
ReplyDeleteThe original concept art this design is based off of is a parody of the Ver. Ka Gundam models.
I really regret downgrading my pledge to only receive the figure now. =(
ReplyDeleteThey need to make Zero already. And maybe Axl.
