Yet more Nintendo Direct news. On April 28th, an update to Mario Kart 8 will add support for more amiibo figures, giving your Mii additional racing suit options. Included in the lot... friggin' Mega Man.
Meh, but yeah Nintendo taking Mega Man wouldn't really be that bad, at worst they'd keep the franchise in the same state it is in now. So how bad could it be, (although I do personally like Capcom's range of IPs more than Nintendo's, but still).
Rosalina is definitely coming back as part of the Super Mario line down the line. Villager, we don't know for sure yet.. at least in terms of North America.
I think he is getting a reissue in Japan, so you may want to import once he's out there.
Nice. Reminds me of Battle & Chase, except it doesn't stink.
And personally, I'd trade that entire Animal Crossing DLC pack for one Megaman-themed course in a heartbeat.
Imagine a Megaman course in a Mario Kart game. Dodging Metools in the road, Gutsman and Stoneman hurling boulders at the racers, giant Quickman stage beams frying the racers into oblivion, hang gliding through a sky filled with Air Tikis. And at the finish line is a slew of friendly Megaman cameos cheering on the winner including Roll in her cute little racing suit.
Hey, dreaming is pretty much all we Megaman fans have left, right?
I don't think that's so far fetched! Nintendo IS trying to show the fans some love, I'd say! And I'd totally play a track like that! You're idea is awesome!
So... that happened.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have no idea what to think anymore. x_x
Oh, it's not so bad! At least it's not Bad Box Art Mega! Though I gotta admit I'd rock that one too. XD
DeleteI know some people have mixed feelings about it, but personally speaking, if Nintendo wanted to purchase the IP at this point, I really wouldn't mind.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE it if Nintendo bought Mega Man. We'd finally get some awesome games!

ReplyDeleteSweet! :D
ReplyDelete(Does this mean that Villager and Rosalina will be getting a re-release? If so, I hope they're easier to get hold of than last time...)

That Mii driving in Mega Man's armor is cute. :3
ReplyDeleteOk......good, but at least they should have made that "megaman" vehicle in the shape of rush, don`t you think guys?
ReplyDeleteThe Mii costumes don't get vehicles.
DeleteI have a Megaman amiibo and yes, a Megaman amiibo function outside of smash bros.
