The Mighty No. 9 beta version received a brand new update today. Tier 2+ backers can now sample Mighty No. 2's underwater/ice stage. The update brings some additional polish to the core gameplay, too; steadier framerate and faster ledge grabbing, among other tweaks. I noticed Beck's model looks a bit smoother too.
Not a backer? No sweat! Check out the video above for a full walkthrough.
This looks strikingly familiar to something I've seen before... from some other game... Gosh, what was it? It's on the edge of my mind...
ReplyDeleteAh, I'm sure it'll come to me eventually! <:
Launch Octopus comes to my mind
DeleteHe's being sarcastic, he knows what game man.....
DeleteJust a note; There is a Health Stock bug mid-way in the stage that if you use it, it has a 50/50 chance of freezing the game.
ReplyDeleteNo. 1 was helping in that stage!
ReplyDeleteCould this mean that the Mighy Numbers that you cure come back to help you in other stages? If that's so, it would be a really cool mechanic. It's kind of like Megaman X's stage changing mechaninc.
Yeah, I'm loving seeing the other bosses outside of the Final Battle area, this gives them a lot of character.
DeleteI really hope they change the boss health bar in the final game. The magenta is just too much.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot at first, but once you get the boss down, it's really cake. Plus since you don't have a weapon yet, it's a bit longer.
DeleteI'm pretty sure he was talking about the health bar's color standing out too much, not the length.
DeleteYes I did mean the color. I don't like it. It's hard on the eyes.
DeleteI'm getting some Darkwing Duck vibes from the hook grabbing gameplay. That's not a bad thing.
