Well this is interesting. Nintendo 3DS owners in Japan now have access to a Rockman puzzle for Mii Plaza's Puzzle Swap. Pieces are being sent out by StreetPass at this very moment, so hopefull we'll have an image of the completed puzzle soon.
For the record, this is the second third-party puzzle based on a Capcom property; a Monster Hunter 4 puzzle hit not too long. Still, just another example of Nintendo showing some blue bomber love. How lovely.

Actually, it's not Puzzle Swaps first 3rd party puzzle. A few months ago, Japan also got a Monster Hunter 4 puzzle

DeleteNintendo just wants to show that they still remember and care about Mega Man. It has nothing to do with wanting them to own it.

ReplyDeleteI wonder how long it will be, until Capcom gets the message that people still like Mega Man, and they give him another chance. Nintendo's practically saying "hey Capcom, remember this guy? We've been advertising his franchise for you for some time, now. DO SOMETHING WITH IT."
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, I hope this gets to the states. This is one puzzle I'll gladly travel to Nintendo Zone locations to get pieces for.
I've never seen another company give a series more promotion than the company that owns it. Has there ever been a situation that's even comparable to this?
