Christopher Niosi's "Did You Know Voice Acting?" returns this week with another in-depth look at the Mega Man series voice actors across multiple forms of media. There's a lot of neat tidbits in here about the NT Warrior animated series actors -- like for instance, did you know several characters were voiced by the three leads from Ed, Edd & Eddy? Tony Sampson, Sam Vincent and Matt Hill. Pretty awesome.
For kicks, Christopher has also included the only known English sample of Mega Man Legends 3's Aero. We still don't know who her voice actress is to this day. If you've got an ear for this sort of thing, listen closely. Can you figure it out?
And the voice actors for megaman zx and megaman zx advent?
ReplyDeletei guess that saga is really dead by now... fuck you crapcom...
Oh god, Ed and Bass.EXE being voiced by the same person is killing me.

DeleteI'm not sure how much this helps, but according to this Siliconera article the English voices for the Legends 3 demo were provided by Cup of Tea Productions, a studio that typically works with Xseed: http://www.siliconera.com/2014/05/26/adapt-japanese-game-english-voiceovers/
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see the many connections the VAs have to other shows, especially Kelly & Kirby being typecast together, although it still kills me as it might everyone else that Legends 3 isn't happening. It bugs me to not know who it was going to be the voice of Aero for the US version. I can't say I can figure who it may be because I've gone partially deaf in both of my ears and not only have I not followed newer VAs' work, but I've been proving wrong when I learned months ago that a Castlevania character (Charlotte from Portrait of Ruin) wasn't voiced by Melissa Fahn (Rika from Digimon Tamers) but by Stephanie Sheh (Hinata from Naruto). If not for the tweet Stephanie made, I would've said up and down it was Melissa who did the voice.
ReplyDeleteWow if that was to be Aero's English voice, she would have sounded like a grown *** woman, which is odd due to L2's
ReplyDeletetiny voice for MM.
Here's a fun fact: The guy who voiced MegaMan.EXE in the NT Warrior series voiced villain Muruta Azrael in Gundam SEED, which is pretty funny because he's using the same voice. That was not a particularly good dub...
ReplyDeleteEd, Edd, Eddy, and Eddie! XD
ReplyDeleteA pity Eddie didn't appear in the MMBN series. :(
