Mega Man Legends 3's Aero is headed to
Sound Rangers next week. According to the game's
official website, she will be distributed to all players on Tuesday, March 4th in honor of
Sound Rangers' sixth-month anniversary. No telling how long the event will last, though, so log in as soon as you can.
That's pretty much all there is to say on this one. I guess it's good to see the character not go completely to waste?

You mean people actually still care about her?
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE DAMN RIGHT WE DO!
DeleteSomehow, this just makes me feel... wrong. I can't really explain it, but... Having her debut be in something other than what was intended just doesn't feel right.
ReplyDeleteinb4 some diehard fans take this as (yet another) ONEHUNDREDPOSITIVEABSOLUTELYSURECAPCAAOCACOMWOULDNEVERLETUSDOWN sign of Legend3 (prototype)'s resurrection
ReplyDeleteYou know we've had this hinted for a while now so people knew it was coming. As to whether it means Legends 3 will come back, who knows for sure? I would like to see its return but until we actually see Capcom get a Mega Man game out I don't have the highest expectations yet. Still cool to see her used though.
Deletethey're celebrating the 6 months anniversary for a game yet megaman 25th anniversary, they didn't even bother doing anything?
ReplyDeleteActually, they did. For the end of the Megaman 25th anniversary (since their game wasn't around for the beginning of the anniversary) Sound Rangers did a big whole month long event where the event gothcha characters(special characters that can usually only be obtained over a span of about 3 days) were megaman characters and there were special stages to play for Cutman, Flashman, and Snakeman. They also gave the megaman characters not one but two custom megazords, which crossover character usually don't get, one of which is called the "Willy Machine 25th". Among other things. It was by far the biggest event Sound Rangers has done, much bigger than this. The devs are big Megaman fans and they did the most they could to celebrate, which was only within the confides of their own game(plus some anniversary artwork they did). It's just that no one heard about it because, well, it's not a very popular game.
DeleteI think it's become so common to associate games with their company, epically in terms of companies that people don't like like Capcom or Square nowadays that people forget that games are actually made by dev teams, not the company(though there's certainly a lot of executive meddling). The /Sound Rangers team/ is celebrating their own half year anniversary, and they also celebrated the Megaman anniversary, even though it's not their game . /Capcom/ didn't do much for the Megaman anniversary, and I garentee you they do not give a damn about Soundrangers being 6 months old (hell I'm worried the game is going to get canceled).
There's not going to be a Legends 3 resurrection out of this, and anyone who thinks so is just being overly hopeful.
ReplyDeleteI'm still glad though that they're at least using Aero in some way. Of course by all means it would be better if she actually landed herself a real role in a game, but that's just not going to happen.
Welp, she's out now. I just made a big post about it over at http://themmnetwork.proboards.com/thread/76/aero-soundrangers-update . Nothing exciting but you can check it out if you're interested.
ReplyDeleteA leftover turd of a character shoehorned into a game Capcom refuses to make appearing in another game. Yawn.
