With the unveiling of OVER-2 Spec 2 last week, these were pretty much inevitable. A whole batch of new armors were recently teased during Rockman Unity's "Xover TV" stream. Above is OVER-3 Spec 2; a powered up version of, well, OVER-3.

DeleteI know right? If the gameplay weren't so horrible (if it were at least decent), this would actually be a pretty amazing game. But as much as X-Over has going for it, the fact that the gameplay is so boring and repetitive just kind of makes the whole thing fall apart... =(
Delete10 looks like a reference that was used to make Sunman/Solarman (Apollo or something... I forget the name... I think it was one of the StarBots or something)
ReplyDeletePffft. Yeah, as if those armors (which are basically nothing more than re-skins) are gonna change the quality of the game in even the slightest. Truth be told, Rockman Xover is hardly worth complaining about anymore. Saying that this game's trash is basically akin to saying that water is wet.
ReplyDeleteI think Boco and Anon 1 are on to Over-10 being Generic Eastern interpretation of divinity. Which may just as well be another original as much as any reimagine. Somehow my kneejerk was Ninetails though.

DeleteThis is bored game. They need to make better megaman games for Wii U, PS4, and Xbox one continuously. Sighing!

On the plus side, for what it's worth, obviously there is no "killing" of Mega Man. This game is doing very well over there, as evidenced by their continued support/money grabs through constant power creep, however gently you prefer to phrase it (...or not).
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the coverage any, even if I have no plans to play the game. It's actually kind of fascinating to see how stuff like this really gains and keeps traction. This isn't the kind of game I grew up with, but no doubt it's been making someone's day over there.

DeleteI still play this game daily, it's fairly enjoyable as a quick timewaster here & there, & I do like the designs on Over-1 & his various armour. Can't wait to see the next batch fully.

DeleteIt is by no means a full fledged Megaman game just a little social game. But sadly the fanbase took everything out of proportion and made it so we will never see an American release, which in doing so, will broaden the brand to new players unfamiliar with the series which would make it gain more popularity.
What little point you may have had with "broadening the brand" went down the toilet with the new Smash Bros. game. Just saying.
