Mega Man: The Board Game is headed to Kickstarter tomorrow, December 12th, at noon central time. To celebrate, the folks at Jasco Games wiped up the above trailer. It's a nice, brief look at what looks to be a promising official product.
For those unable to view the video, you can read up on how to play the game here. For additional facts, answers and question, head to Jasco's official website.
Stay tuned for more news!
I'll be honest, I've been neglecting basically everything about this board game, but decided to bite on watching the trailer. The game does look pretty great, and I wish it had more stages/stuff going for it. I'm glad they put this together.
ReplyDeleteNow I need 4 other MegaMan fan friends to play it with...
I've been waiting for that Kickstarter! Lol! I will be sure to donate.
ReplyDeleteI lost interest about... oh... 50 seconds in. All the reused Archie art and the lackluster description of how the game actually works really didn't do it for me. It reminds me vaguely of things like Hero Quest and Warhammer... but only vaguely.
ReplyDeleteAll and all, I'm not entirely sure this is the kind of thing I would be interested in. It seems pretty lame, despite the spiffy figurines. (Which, like with Warhammer, seems to be the real reason to get this game.)
I really don't like how the characters turned out. They look like if they were made by amateurs. The game sounds fun, but the figures look like shit :/
ReplyDeleteYou did see the disclaimer at the bottom saying "Images not final" right? Also, the guy said that with fan support they could make "higher quality game components" to the game.
Delete@Joseph Collins: Well I for one think using (not reusing) Archie's art works well to illustrate what the series is about, plus its from a line of merchandise many fans would recognize right away.
