First I've heard of this "next big mega-crossover." Could it be? A Mega Man/Mega Man X crossover? I suppose we'll have to wait and find out. Stay tuned!

So a Mega Man comic with numerous publication delays over the past few months has decided a Classic/X crossover is a good idea?
ReplyDeleteGee that doesn't sound familiar at all.
I'm genuinely curious how Archie Comics plans to handle the origin of X. If they're smart, they'll do like the games do and completely ignore the Classic series in the X timeline.. I'm scared they'll just end up pandering one way or the other though. ("X is Megaman with his memory wiped!")
ReplyDeleteWe'll see, I guess!
Personally I'm hoping for Sabrina Meets X, where X and Sabrina have to team up to stop Vile from destroying Greendale.
ReplyDeleteWhat other properties does Archie have? Josie & the Pussycats? Betty & Veronica?
There's no way it's not a Classic/X crossover, the first interview about the backups mentioned they were to lay the foundation for a story in the summer.
DeleteDat variant!
ReplyDeleteI dont like the artist. I rather first issue artist.. thats why I gave it up.
ReplyDeleteHey, Spaz! You're drawing a side-comic that introduces readers to Megaman X. Sound familiar? Can cancellation be too far behind?
ReplyDeleteI'd like this comic to get better, but I'd rather it die quickly before Flynn goes all "Star Wars Prequel" on us.
"lololol the comic will totally go under because there's a few dreamwave coincidences"
ReplyDeleteTry again when we get reports of Archie artists not getting paid or funds being siphoned into another company.
Inb4 it gets cancelled.
ReplyDeleteMeh. If the kindergartener who's been doing the "pencils" lately is still going to be doing them, cancellation would be fine.
DeleteGoodness, but we're a bunch of pessimists in here.
ReplyDeleteAs a fan of what Ian's been doing with the Sonic comics, I'm pretty sure that this X story is going to be at least a fun ride. Besides, it's an alternate continuity. If you don't like where it goes compared to the other takes on the Megaman story, fine. Just ignore it. Go read MSPaint Masterpieces. (Seriously, go do that.)
"Featuring pencils by the returning Mega Man art legend Patrick 'Spaz' Spaziante!"
ReplyDeleteSOLD.
Where can I order a physical copy of this online? I am full on ready to purchase that alt version. Hell if they made the cover a poster I'd buy it as well.
