Mega Man & Mega Man X Statue Arrived Broken? Here's What to Do
A rather surprising number of people have e-mailed me about the condition of their 25th anniversary Mega Man and Mega Man X 25th statue. For one reason or another, the statues are arriving broken or damaged. For example, here's Serge's -- it arrived on his doorstep with a broken arm.
If this has happened to you, your best bet is to contact either Djay or double_r on Capcom Unity via private message. They will set you up with a replacement. If you can, send them a couple photos of your statue's condition. That will help move the process along quicker.
So sorry this happened to so many of you. Hopefully you'll get things worked out soon. If Djay or double_r passes along any additional information, be sure to let us know!

The quality control I expect of modern Capcom.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. This is all too appropriate.
DeleteCapcom can't even be bothered to properly assemble a statue... HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGA MAN... YOU DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER
DeleteSorry to hear that.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I do not care is this. New game for Megaman or Mighty No. 9 will be a winner!
Rofl, it sucks :/
ReplyDeleteBroken arms, broken dreams.
ReplyDeleteOh, you, CAPCOCACOM. #kappa
capcom, capcom, capcom... failing as usually ._.
ReplyDeleteWow that's pathetic. This is suppsoed to be the best thing we get this anniversary outside of being included in Smash, and this is what we get? A statue that won't even reach our doorsteps in one piece? It just gets worse by the month...
ReplyDeleteThis is that common? I bit the budget-bullet and bought one, and was pretty mad about this.
ReplyDeleteBut I already superglued mine back on with no issue, since it broke at the seam inside X's shoulder armor.
Thankfully mine didn't have this issue, although putting it back in the box did feel a bit more snug placing the styrofoam back together...hope it doesn't break down the line. =/
ReplyDeleteIsn't it weird, to say the least, that soooo many of those statues are arriving broken?
ReplyDeleteI mean, come on, what are the chances?
I'd say it's possible that capcom is trying to "send a message" to megaman fans...
Capcom has been really bitter about the series for a long time now, even before the megaman legends 3 thing and all.
so I'll say they don't like much Mighty 9 and how megaman fans are flocking to it either
No.
DeleteAre you implying that Capcom broke the statues on purpose? C'mon, that's just ridiculous.
DeleteIt's the fans who are bitter. You can say Capcom is apathetic.
DeleteI got a damaged MM 25th anniversary statue in july and i've been trying ever since to get a replacement ever since. It's been dozens of emails back and forth and ignored voicemails. I'm never buying anything direct from capcom again
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is, there seems to be so many complaints and these unfortunate customers might never get proper service because a timely and proper solution will just cost Capcom more money that they can't afford to spend right now...
ReplyDeleteREAL Megaman's arms wouldn't break off in shipping! :(
ReplyDeleteoh no, a thing went wrong. it's totally 100% capcom's fault
ReplyDeleteWas this happening to Mega Man X or Mega Man? I've noticed that Mega Man X by his arm was a little bit wobbly. Not sure if it's his arm or how he is placed on the stand because I tested his feet and it seems he's wobbly on the stand. So it's hard to tell. But nothing broken and it seems fine.
ReplyDeleteMy Mega Man X's arm is wobbly too. I can move it up but when i press down it doesnt move. I hope it wont break sometime down the line. Didn't they stress test this statue? I'm very disappointed. I kinda want to get a refund. :[
Deletei'm so glad i didn't buy one of them. they looked like ass.
ReplyDeleteWhat are those statues made of to break so easily? Aluminium?
ReplyDeleteThat really sucks, and for all that money they charge, you would think they would do a better job shipping. :( That's just really fucking lame.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I remember about mine, the problem seems to be in how it was sculpted.
ReplyDeleteBoth appear to be solid pieces of resin, EXCEPT for X's Buster arm, which is a separate piece held on by an internal peg. Resin is kinda fragile from my understanding and somehow that peg must be breaking from the way the thing was packed.
Just bought one and my arm was broken. Lol
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI just purchased the Mega Man / X 25th Anniversary Statue and it's arm was broken, but I also noticed that it looked as if the statue was previously returned from another buyer!? There were also sign(s) of re-molding done, which also included the culprits finger print forever visible in the silver paint on the statue. I'm VERY dissatisfied with this... very unprofessional.
