Here's a bit of news I know many of you have been waiting for -- the Mega Man Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL cases are now up for preorder on the Capcom Store! Both versions are anticipated to ship in early September, priced at $15.95 (3DS) and $19.95 (XL) respectively.
It would appear stock is limited, so I'd get your preorder in before they run out. Either that or fork over some serious Zenny on eBay. I can't believe how much these are going for on the second hand market!

Thank you for this update! Even though I been checking the e bay store pretty much every day, they must have posted this late afternoon Monday. Been waiting for this. I just hope it's better then the last case they made and was only limited to 200 lol

These are nice and all, though I suspect that it's nothing that can't be done with one of the aluminium 3DS/3DS XL cases that are available from the likes of DealExtreme...
ReplyDeleteI suspect that a plastic case would have been a better idea, here, though: Using an aluminium case will dampen a 3DS' WiFi signal significantly (the antenna is located in the lid), which reduces StreetPass hits significantly. (I speak from experience - I stupidly left such a case on my 3DS whilst visiting an event where a lot of other 3DS consoles were present. Someone else I was with got literally ten times more StreetPass hits than I did - six versus more than sixty!)
