Servbot Heads Are Back for Dead Rising 3

From the outset, it was evident Dead Rising 3 was taking a darker approach to zombie-bashing than its two predecessors. Initial trailers and screenshots made it seem like the series' weird, dark humor was jettisoned. That's what made Dead Rising fun, after all. It didn't take itself too seriously. It didn't need to.

Fortunately fans need not worry. Capcom Vancouver has provided a healthy batch of new images touting the return of the insane humor. Among the lot, a shot of protagonist Nick Ramos thwarting of zombies in a Servbot head and dress with a toy teddy bear. Awesome? Yes. Unsettling? Yes.

So there we go; the humor is back and so are the oversized Servbot masks. Makes you wonder if the Mega Man X and Proto Man armors will return too. I mean why not? Everyone loves slagging zombies with a working Mega Buster.

  2. I'm wondering what Capcom related costume they'll have next. I'm thinking maybe Zero or Bass if it's a new Mega Man costume. Then again it might be another Capcom character, so maybe something along the lines of Strider, Dante, Super Joe, Captain Commando, Ryu,... etc.

    2. I might be alone, but I think a BBA Mega Man costume in DR3 would be hilarious.

    3. Don't worry, you're not alone.

  3. Who cares? One it's exclusive to XBONE (I'll wait for a Frank West re-release on PS4) and two it's more cock teasing of Legends 3.

    2. Because no one is gonna buy an XBONE, amirite? Bet they'll collect dust on the shelf and MS won't move a single console.

And it would be better if they just dropped the Servbot references from Dead Rising 3 because no one wants a Legends 3 reminder. Best if Capcom just swept them under the rug so people can forget about the series for the rest of time.

    3. I highly doubt XB1 and DR fans (especially the CoD crowd that Capcom admitted they are targetting this game towards) will get the MM references nor care about them. MM in Smash is much better when it comes to raising brand awareness than DR3 ever will. Tho the first anon's post does kinda sound troll...ish.

    4. You're kidding right? Me and a couple of my friends, who are DR fans, love to look for the Mega Man references. Just because you're a fan of one thing doesn't mean you can't be a fan of something else.

    5. @kobun XBOX sucks, but so does Sony and their annoying fans, Nintendo is where it's at, if there is any justice Capcom will keep MM on Nintendo only.

    6. I doubt a huge percentage of the casual CoD crowd is going to be jumping on either console at launch. Even if it is available on launch day, CoD will be multiplatform on the 360 and PS3.

DR fans would likely already be familiar with the Mega Man references since they've appeared in all the previous games in the series.

  5. Maybe Bass or Zero for a new costume? Or Tron, like the Roll one... *shivers* (Teisel or Bon would be better)

    1. Well, it IS a horror game, so expect a man dressed like Tron Bonne, crotch plate and all. Also to match with the Servbots.
