Destructoid Reveals Mega Man #31 Covers
Our friends over at Destructoid have just gotten their hands on the two variant covers for Mega Man #31, which make up part three of the “Blackout: The Curse of Ra Moon” story arc. Fan favorite Patrick Spaziante is handling the visuals on the "regular" cover, while Brent McCarthy's work dazzles the variant.
No sign of the solicitation yet, but we do know this issue will introduce Ra Thor, a guardian created by the sentient alien super-computer Ra Moon. Mega Man and Break Man appear to be teaming up for the first time too. Will they take on this new menace?
Hit up Destructoid for those covers. They're in high resolution and look fantastic!

Among other things, it'll be nice to finally have a decent ref of Ra Thor (normally I don't like relying on alternate continuities for things like this, but aside from sprites and blurry screencaps, there's no art of that guy ANYWHERE).
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I've seen decent official art of him somewhere, either from a pan shot in the game FMV or one of the art books.
DeleteI have Super Adventure Rockman, so I'll see if I can dig out the discs and find a good shot of him in the FMV animation files. If I'm not mistaken, I'll get some screen grabs and merge them into a single image.
Radix, I'm not sure the three pages of Ra Thor he gets before blowing up will be that much in the way of reference material.
ReplyDeleteEh, it's still bound to be an improvement over what what we've had to make do with so far.
DeleteJust in case if you hadn't heard and seen this hilarious Cut Man short clip.

Wow, that variant looks really cool! As much as I love the MM/Sonic-crossover (I am actually enjoying it more than I thought I would!), I really cannot wait to get back to the main storyline and see what's going to happen in this arc. :D
